I never leave reviews but Rexburg has got to fix the dog park. They are upset we go to other parks around town. It’s not a leash problem it’s a dog park issue. The park is either muddy from the sprinklers in the summer or muddy from snow in the winter. The gate is always broken. The grass is sparse and nasty. I have fallen and I’ve seen others fall walking from the gate to the nasty “grass”. The cement tunnel is always filled with water. There are few places to sit. You don’t want to sit on the grass because it’s so gross. The whole back end is weeds with water and dogs go back there get wet. The muddy dogs jump on you and get you muddy. The last time I went I was on my way to a concert and wearing nice clothes. I had neck surgery 6 months prior. It was pure ice by the gate to enter. I slipped and got mud all over and hurt my neck. I saw another girl slip as I was leaving. I haven’t been back since. We want our dogs to play with other dogs. We wouldn’t go to other parks if the dog park was actually useful. Until the mud problem is fixed and there is actually nice grass I won’t be back. I had pictures but I sent them to the city and I don’t have...

PROS: • There are 2 sections- 1 little and 1 big. (Which is nice when we aren't sure how our dog is going to play with the other dogs cause they can sniff each other through the fence first haha) • Has little training equipment like tunnels and jumping bars so you can train (or just for playing around). • It's completely fenced and the entrance has 2 layers of gates so you don't completely lose your dog if someone opens the first one. • Mostly covered in grass

CONS: • There is a section at the beginning that is just dirt/mud so if your dog likes to get messy just be cautious. • In the back of the big play area, it looks like they haven't quite finished the park. There is a lot of uneven dirt with some trash in it, as well as a fallen temporary fence and the poles that were holding it up. • I think there is a sewage plant behind it? So it was pretty stinky when we went once but really only if you go towards the back and it was just the 1 time so far.

So it's not perfect but I give it 5 cause it has SAVED us when it comes to getting our dog socialized and letting him run around free, getting his energy out, without worrying about him! (We don't...

I’ve been coming to the dog park at Nature park for about 7 months so I have experienced the fall, winter and spring. I love how big the dog park is and there are always a lot of dogs for the other dogs to play with. There are lots of trash cans for waste bags and they provide doggie bags as well which is helpful for when you forget your own. The new parking lot is great! It sometimes gets overrun by the skaters but it’s not usually bad. The new bathrooms is also a nice new addition. There are some things that would make the park better. There isn’t really any shade which days when it actually gets warm out and the sun is out. There also isn’t a water source that is on. Ever since I have been here the fountain that is here has been turned off. Having a water source would be nice but if you bring your own that works too. More benches would be a great addition and cleaning up the trash that is scattered around. There is some un-finished construction at the back of the dog park. I wish that could get fixed but the dogs seem to leave the materials alone. The ditch is a favorite digging spot. Overall it’s a great spot and the better of the...

We came after a week of rainstorms so we were expecting lots of mud, but we didn't really see any. Most of the ground is covered in wonderful lush grass, but there were a lot of dry 'poop bombs' sitting around. We came when the winds were blowing Northeast to avoid any sewer plant smell. It wasn't really much of a problem except for one time when the wind died down there was a slight pungent smell in the air. After talking to some long-time locals they said that it's not usually a big issue since the wind blows north most of the time. My doggo had a blast, and we met a lot of kind semi-social people. We didn't use the small dog area, but it looked nice and lush too. *I can't give it a 5-star rating since the Bombs are plentiful and the pungent smell, though not overpowering, was slightly disturbing. I'll give it 4.3/5.0 stars.
