Phila Burger Station — Restaurant in Richmond

I wish I had known about this place sooner. We usually go to Al's Big Burger because it's closer to my house but we decided to try something new and were rewarded with excellent burgers. Mine was so big I could barely fit it in my mouth. When I said I didn't want onions the guy taking our order asked if I wanted grilled onions instead - heck yes. So my bacon burger ended up like In N Out on steroids. I loved how the meat was kind of flat and crispy. My kids had hot dogs. Counter guy (owner?) gave them little samples of chocolate shake and a knife and fork to cut the huge hot dog. Also water cups. The place is small and cramped but he really went out of the way to help us have a better experience- so rare in the Bay Area! We also got really good garlic fries, but I was so stuffed from the burger I didn't have room. We'll definitely be back. It seems like a good place to get a to-go order when you're in a rush. Don't let the size or location of this little joint fool you. They seriously make the best burger you can buy. All quality ingredients. Featuring the best beef patty I've ever tasted. They flat top cook the burgers that leaves a slight ultra delicious crust on the patty. The buns are fresh and lightly toasted to open up the flavor of the roll. Their produce ratio is perfect. No hunky onions and bulky lettuce and tomatoes here. Fries are as generous and as as hot as you could want. A family owned restaurant ! Brother on the counter thats the man ! All respect to him . Ive been coming here since high school . The prices are just always right ! A burger and fries should land you 9.00 -10.00 bucks ! And usually other places are way more . Its a small little hut you can eat there if youd like but not to much room . Its also busy i do recommend calling in orders ahead of time if time is a situation for you . What i usually get ill bounce from a hamburger to a chicken burger with fries and no drink . Im always full after eat their bugers and good customer service ! Good prices and good...
