Shepherd’s Lake Park — Attraction in Ringwood

Nice park rangers & friendly people! Go to Auntie El's to eat! Wildlife to see on trails! Last time few weeks ago saw a nice black mountain rattlesnake 🐍! Also have seen frogs 🐸, chipmunks 🐿 all kinds of bird's predators & woodpeckers 🦢🐦‍⬛🐦 & a snapping turtle 🐢! In 23' on road out a bear 🐻🐾crossing the road on the way out! It's very peaceful up there! Fishing 🎣 & Thunder Mountain skeet shooting & shotgun rentals (2 people needed) & boat rentals! Make sure as a Park Ranger warned me you spray-up with tick repellent & check yourself once at 🏡 home! Definitely a worthwhile trip & BBQ stands! I've been going since the 80's & started up again over the last ten years & more since 23'! Auntie El's in Sloatsburg, NY nice people & great 🚜 farmstand food, (I worked there for a little while in 23'!) I know from eating there many times since then! Also great people at Davis Sporting Goods for all outdoor camping, hunting, camping and fishing needs you might have forgotten to bring! Very friendly & knowledge & helpful staff there, both (Auntie El's) on route 17 (I'm a frequent enough customer of their's of all different type of gear since 23'! You might have seen my animal photos & hiking posts & stories on Facebook & Instagram etc., in the past in all types of weather, in the past!! Remember $10 parking fee, call for more information!...

I love coming out here to paddle board. Very nice people work here and the place is always clean. Plenty of grills all around and the lake is small and comfortable to hang out in all day.
