Had there been any communication that I would be waiting 4 hours to shoot a shotgun for a total of 15 mins I would have asked for my money back and enjoyed my day elsewhere. But no, they lied. For a place who deals with large groups on a weekly basis, they know EXACTLY how long your going to be waiting. But instead they lie to you. Along with the aggravation of the long wait, when we did finally shoot at 6pm. It was pitch dark. All we had were spot lights to see and They didn't have enough size guns we needed for our group. So one of the girls we were with had to shoot a gun completely wrong for her experience level. For myself, who has never shot before, was given little information about what exactly I was supposed to do. This experience has fueled me to want to inform you of how your day will be here should you decide to go. When you pull in and see the parking lot full of cars. JUST LEAVE! The amount of time you will be wasting on waiting to shoot a gun for 15 mins is NOT WORTH IT! Your only going to ruin your day dealing with...
Read moreFantastic range. Definitely caters to all skill levels of shooting. Equipment available; great prices on rounds and ammo. Safety is the number one rule and "having fun" is the number one goal. The "pullers", or instructors are all very knowledgeable, excellent at instructing/providing feedback, and really allow for an excellent, relaxed, sporting time.
My family and I love to come here on the weekends. There are lots of great "regulars" that are fun to shoot with and also are all there to provide feedback, pointers, experiences, and great stories! This really is a wonderful place to bring friends! Ive gotten a few of my friends hooked!
They have sporting clays, practice, trap, skeet, and modern skeet. Truly something for everyone. Skeet is a great way to set up a great competition between the group. It is great to shoot with the experienced guys as it always seems to make you shoot better.
great hours, and night shooting under the lights is a blast!! I will mention safety again because they are very efficient at maintaining a safe group of shooters on each field. All rounds are kept bagged until the active shooter is up, and all instructors remind about safe handling!

Read moreI live for the DAYs like the one I had at Thunder Mountain, last Sunday.
I enjoy skeet/trap shooting, but when I get the opportunity to shoot with great people, like those that are frequent visitors of Thunder Mountain...
The best way to improve your skills is not how ofter you shoot, it's with whom you shoot. I can honestly say that my skills have improved greatly because of Thunder Mountain patrons like "HARRY", well I call him "DIRTY HARRY", this guy does not MISS, and is always happy to answer questions, and give suggestions if you are smart enough to listen. He has got some real SKILLS/Talent, and does it without SKEET-GEAR, fancy jackets/guns or elitist/snobby attitude.
The reason I love Thunder Mountain is because of the Caliber of Patrons/Visitors, because "Harry" is not the only PRO that can be found there on any given day.
Something needs to be said for the Management/Employees, they know how to create a safe, professional, and relaxed atmosphere... and this may sound "CHEESY/CHEERS'Y" but this is the "Kind of Place, where people always know your name", yes even a...
