Must park your vehicle in this lot if you plan to hike Mnt. Rubidoux, as street parking along its base is no longer available. But you get to walk up the hill along where we used to be able to park, adding more time and energy expenditure to your trip up the mountain once you finally get up to the base of it. Back to the park review: Not one person who's ever used the bathrooms here has ever been potty trained in their life. Pee always festering on the stall floors and toilet seats. TIP: Sometimes the toilet paper is out, so bring some of your own just in case. TIP: Toilets flush automatically (& unexpectedly & very loudly; I SCREAMED - embarrassing). Read moreThis is a very nicely designed city park. Landscaping is neatly kept along with trimmed green grass throughout. There are a few shade trees amongst the vast parking area. Sports games are frequently played here including soccer and softball. The restrooms are kept open until about 9pm and are cleaner than those of other parks. There is one medium sized playground and seating for the parents who wish to oversee their child's playtime. Barbecue grills are available on a first come first served basis and there are only about 4 to 8 on the park grounds. Mount Rubidoux Park entrance is only about two residential blocks from the park. This is a peaceful nice quiet...
Read moreNice park very clean. Riverside PD is great at making their presence on a frequent basis. I use the bike trails and ride to norco where the trail ends. And often ride to San Bernardino off waterman ave where the trail ends as well. Trail is always clean and safe. Homeless are present but not very common. Park restrooms are pretty clean as well. Great safe park especially considering the park was a vacant piece of land where people disposed of their trash and many homeless resided on that land before the park was developed. Another impressive recreational addition by the city of Riverside. And is named after a riverside PD officer who was brutally...
