Absolute garbage service. I bought a book online on the ucr website, only to find that the book that i bought was an international textbook. I then contacted the bookstore and talked to the employee, whom which told me she will contact the higher ups to talk about refunding. She never called back. Weeks pass and i decided to take the initiative. I head over to the bookstore and asked the bookstore employee second to the manager about my situation. She then tells me in a rude manner that what im telling her is a lie. She then tells me that ucr bookstore does not sell international textbooks. I then try to reason with her that ucr did in fact sell me a international textbook. She interruptes me during my explanation and tells me to calm down and that she has a lot to look into with 4 windows opened about my profile. Read moreBest visit for my tweens. Kids where bored with long summer break. Decided visit a university book store. Go out for a walk and just get out of the house.
Book store and the campus.. nice and clean. We walked around exploring the campus for two hours. We got the kids a UCR t-shirts from the book store.
On the drive home, kids mentioned, "We want to go college! We had a family good talk. College is not impossible but there is path. Get good grades, be involve in sports or extracurricular activity.
Hopefully college bug...
Read moreA 90s alumna, I returned to purchase a t-shirt I could wear on college days at school (I'm now a teacher), and a decal I can add to one of my water bottles. There was a wide variety of options, I just wish it were more accessible (reason for the 3 stars) because my mom, who is also an alumna, needed to walk there with her rollator but was unable to do so. Seems ridiculous to pay for parking to visit the bookstore for a $100+ tourist purchase (aka walking advertisements)--30 minute disabled access parking nearby...
