The Barn — Restaurant in Riverside

Went to the stable for the “Grand Opening” during the distractions time as advertised and it was horrid. It was completely dead when we went no host to seat anyone and it took 7-8 min before someone greeted us and told us we can be seated. The waiting staff was all just standing around looking lifeless and you could say the service provided was lifeless as well. On a slow regular Tuesday that behavior could be validated but for a “Grand Opening” that’s unacceptable. The drinks had barely any alcohol (overpriced for what you are getting) and the food looked and tasted like they bought it at Ralphs Frozen and threw it in the oven or microwave. The only time the wait staff was quick to be of our assistance was to pick up the check. After our bad experience we were unsatisfied so we went over to The Barn where in my opinion is where you should spend your money if you are going to this establishment. The brisket plate was amazing and the service provided was friendly and welcoming. It was surprising to see the type of service and product being served at the barn was by far 10000000x better than the stable. The food it pretty good if you're on the UCR meal plan otherwise it's not amazing for the price without it. It's a nice place to hang out the service isn't the fastest. The chicken sandwiches are a lot better than the burgers in my opinion along with the fries over their onion rings (usually a bit too greasy and the breading isn't crisp). They've been introducing more options slowly as they begin to get more staff including a deli sandwich station, salad station, and hot plate station. This is not a real barn, don't be fooled. This is a restaurant that serves burgers and chicken sandwiches and such. I was at my favorite uncle Barney's house and he asked me to take some things out to the barn and I didn't know he had an actual barn so i searched Google maps for the barn and it directed me to this place and i went inside cause i was looking for for a place to put a box of old clothes that belonged to my cousin before he became a juggalo and i ended up ordering a burger instead and it was delicious and it came with about a barrel of lettuce on it but i loved it.
