Van Buren Drive-In Theatre and Swap Meet — Attraction in Riverside

We had so much fun! They have a snack bar with great food options. And the prices for food was actually not crazy overpriced either. Everyone working was so polite and patient. I suggest getting here early because we got here an hour before the movie started and there were already a good amount of people in line. I think the one hour was a perfect amount of time to be sure you get good spot and to order food before it gets really busy. All in all 10/10. We absolutely will be going back.

Update: well I'm sad to say this because I thoroughly enjoyed our last experience and decided to come back like I said I would.... well this time was awful... I read reviews on screen 2 and come to find out myself the reviews are true!!! Saw The Little Mermaid on opening night with the kiddos and couldn't hear half the movie! Such a disappointment for all of us.

Update 2: we ended up going back bcus the kids really wanted to and the movie was screen 2 again go figure... well I'm pleasantly surprised it was fine! My hypothesis is that if it's slightly windy that's what messes up the screen. Which is understandable

3/5 is what I would give the drive in theater and I will tell you why in a sec. First of all I would like to say I've been to many drive-ins from the Vineland, paramount, mission tiki, and quite a few more.

I will talk about the bad, the restrooms when I have gone is pretty hideous and when we went it was crazy packed and a lot people didn't have much regard to privacy and respect to people nearby. I do understand it is a very nice experience and people get a bit excited but, at least don't bother the people around you and just watch the movie. Overall, it isn't much that gives a really bad rating but, it wasn't something that wowed me or knocked my socks off.

As far as the good the screen's picture quality was pretty amazing and better than most so that I can definitely give a plus. Also, as far as parking I feel like its very organized and evenly spaced out to really find a good spot.

All in all, it was really bad nor really good it was eh. I didn't visit the snack bar but, I do believe this drive in theater does deserve a chance but, not with high expectations.

A couple of tips I would give is get there early especially for a movie that just came out, oh and if kids go missing during checkout/payment area but, reappear in the parking lot lol hey why not to save a quick buck. haven't been to a drive in movie for almost a decade.went for the first time with my wife and 4 year old and we loved it so much!! my 4 year old doesn't do good in movie theaters she cant sit steal and talks so we wanted to try the drive in since its outside,we brought folding chairs and backed are car in popped the trunk made it like a bed for her and she loved it she could talk and stand outside the trunk and just be her....got their 1 hour before the movie to get a good spot we got screen 2 and nothing was wrong perfect size and good audio.always a bunch of kids and family felt safe and very good environment. we went twice already plan on going for now on for movies.snack bar amazing good prices. big churros big popcorn good big nachos!!! bathrooms a big and clean! just over all good experience for family fun.eveyrone that goes is nice and friendly.if you have not been to the drive in with the family then i say go! a tip i would like to give is bring a radio to play the audio for the movie so you dont have to have the car on idol and you dont have to get up every once and a while and...
