The World War II Gallery is the second part of the first hanger. This is where you get to see more memorabilia and displays to read. The dioramas get more detailed as well since we have better information on them.
They have a stunning display for the Memphis Belle, B-17F Flying Fortress. It includes who the airmen were, how the nose art was created along with replicas of the atomic bombs they dropped. We can’t forget about the Tuskegee Airmen. They have a full display of their aircraft, then men who flew them and memorabilia.
This was a pretty well rounded gallery for that time. Don’t skip checking out the Women Air Force Pilots (WASP) displays as we forget that women played an important role as well during this time.
