You are almost near the end of a long day, but there are a couple more stops. Second to last will be the Space Gallery. You can get a larger overview from the eatery on the second floor.

Anything related to space or exploration will be here. One of the main items in this display is the Space Shuttle Simulator. You can find this right in front of the Space Shuttle trainer.

The other stunning displays are of the different space missions in the early days of space flight. You find the Astronaut suit used for the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions. They even have a display of the cradle the chimpanzees were in during their flights.

There are also several models of the different rockets and space craft we used. There are some of the rocket and the engines exposed so you can see them in detail. A satellite is also on display which shows just how larger they are floating above earth (Sorry, no space lasers were found). They have a small display showcasing the United States Space Force.

You will see several test planes here as well as some really silly ones. There is a lot to see here before going over to the...

My kids LOVED the space section at the very back and had a ton of fun walking through the presidential planes. The space suit they could go inside of and take their picture in was a sweet touch. My youngest is 5 and the only thing she's wanted to be since she realized what the question "what do you want to be when you grow up?" meant, is an astronaut. Thank you for providing excellent education for adults and making the museum a blast for my little ones. A staff member helped get us from the very back by the space exhibit to the front with a nifty flashlight! (Thank you so much for helping me out with thw babes. What excellent staff!

Today took Grand Babies to the National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. The Museum is free to enjoy. It is so freaking massive and chucked full of 100s and 100s of planes, helicopters, rockets, missiles, jets and even BOMBS!!!

This Museum is absolutely 💯 Percent fantastic!! I've been twice and would go again and again! If your in the area or just take the trip for the sheer sake of being excited about all things that fly from the Wright Brothers first style of plane that flew in 1903 to the rockets and space crafts of 2023....120...

We enjoyed ourselves. Free entry and free parking. I would definitely bring a stroller if you have kids or coats. The museum is warm. The museum is very large. We were there for over 3 hours. Everything was clean! There are even planes you can walk through, planes that even some of our presidents have been in. What a great place for kids and adults!

Wear comfortable shoes and bring bottled water. It's warm inside and a nice gift shop. There's nice electric carts for those who can not walk long distances on concrete floors. That's Major Captain Scott Hathcock; Tuskegee Air Men Red Tails.. Thank you for our brave men and women who serve our Armed Forces. God bless America 🇺🇸 🙏 ❤️
