The people working here are extremely rude. I was spoken to disrespectfully by 4 different staff members and they started to publicly argue with my father in front of everyone on the boat.
We were in a group of 4, and they tried to separate one person from our group on the way back. They forced us to switch seats for no reason, leaving my father alone, because they “needed more room on the boat”. We were squished all the way to the end of the seat and there were plenty of open seats so this genuinely did not make any sense. I would understand if the boat was full and they were trying to fit more people on, but there was so much room left and the fact that they chose to yell at us in front of everyone on the boat was very embarrassing. I also witnessed one of the female employees speak rudely to another group. A customer walked off the boat for one second to find the rest of her family, and the employee said very rudely, “if you’re getting off the boat you’re staying off the boat. You should’ve had your entire group together before you started”. Things happen!! I understand having policies and I completely respect those policies, but the staff needs to work on enforcing those policies in a nicer manner. Looking at other reviews, MANY other people have experienced the same issue. I would be very embarrassed as the owner of this company, and I think all of these employees should be ashamed tbh. I’ve worked outside in customer service for years, and I know how irritating it can be, especially when it’s super hot out, but if you can’t treat people with respect then you need to find another job. There is no excuse to talk to customers like that, and the fact that I witness multiple employees being rude to MULTIPLE customers is a huge problem. Not a good look at all.
I have used the sailfish marina taxi in the past to get to peanut island and their employees are SO much nicer and the process is so much more efficient. Highly recommend everyone use that...
Read moreMy family and I made plans to come for my brothers birthday and they had already arrived and were waiting in line. We arrived a little late around 10:50am but the others were in the line about to enter. We let the young lady (who was nice she had blonde ish hair) know that we have family in the line because they had already closed the ferry due to maximum capacity on the island and she let us through because we already had family in the line waiting for us. However this rude lady with dark hair and blue tips was NOT nice. We were explaining to her how our family is already in the line and were waiting for us (there were 4 of us and she was acting like there were 20 of us asking to enter) and she was so rude about it and rude to her COWORKER. I felt bad for the coworker who got yelled at by this rude lady and we explained to her that it was my brothers birthday and we came to celebrate and that they were already in line waiting. Nevertheless she didnt let us through and was so rude and could have acted nicely. My family and I decided to wait for an hour and a half and nothing and we called like the rude lady had told us and it doesn’t even work. Then we waited in the path but in NO ONES way and they said we were “attracting people” when they should have put a sign in the first place saying they are at maximum capacity because people kept coming either way. And on top of that the rude lady ended up allowing 2 guys to enter when she said they couldn’t even let 1 person on. Shes a liar and a rude disgraced lady who should be fired. And I also don’t understand how the island is going to be at maximum capacity when you have people with their own boats going there and people on kayaks and boards. Overall I wouldn’t recommend maybe try another place with nicer staff and the island is overrated tbh I used to come here a couple years ago with my family and it...
Read moreStaff is incredibly rude. My family and I were simply waiting for another ferry hoping that there would be enough people on it so we could go on the island because of the capacity rule. The lady with long brown hair at ticketing has absolutely no manners whatsoever on how to talk to the general public. My sister is in the Military and had her baby with us as we were PATIENTLY waiting for staff to either call the island to see how many people were there or for another ferry. We were extremely understanding and nice and even waited to see if there were enough people coming off of the island but she was herding us like cattle right off of the dock telling us that "there's no point in waiting" and "i'm not going to help people with a poor attitude" due to the fact that she had lied about calling the park to ask about capacity and when we called the park they said they did not receive any calls to update the ferry on capacity. We felt discriminated because our family was speaking another language and that's when she complained about our "poor attitude". After reading other reviews, this same employee has ongoing issues with discriminating behavior towards people who speak other languages.
My sister is in the U.S. Military and just returned from deployment and this was extremely unprofessional and irresponsible for hiring such incompetent staff. Even though it is understandable that capacity is at hand and this company is extremely stern with this matter, discrimination, verbal use, and dishonesty is unacceptable at any company no matter the regulations.
I will be filing a formal complaint against this employee and company over discriminatory behavior as this is...
