The Discovery Center is such a hidden gem! There’s so much cool stuff to explore, both inside and out. My kids especially loved the sand area where they could make animal footprints, they could have stayed there all day! Even though the bee exhibit was gone, we found other things to do that she enjoyed! Read moreThe Discovery center is pretty small and geared towards children. Nice, though. And have toilets as you walk in. I did get a great Blue ridge parkway brochure though and the employee at the desk was friendly and informative.
I was there at 11:20 AM and they were open. The signs there did say they open at noon so I guess sometimes they just open early.
