Pastel — Restaurant in Roanoke

I wish I'd taken a picture of the beautiful cupcakes Pastel made for us! We had strawberry decorated with sugar pearls, tuxedo cucpcakes, and birthday confetti cupcakes packaged in neat containers that kept the frosting intact and secure during travel.

My research team and I had been planning a little celebration of missed birthdays and recent successes in science. Our original plan was to order from Bubblecake-- but they were taking a vacation without a banner on the website, and so I was left last-minute with plans for cupcakes and no vendor. I called Pastel and after talking with Brunella, she worked it out to get a dozen cupcakes made to order with a scheduled pick-up time. I love anything sweet, but this lady makes better than "anything." Her sweets are so amazing!! We used her as a cupcake vendor for our wedding, and I am so amazed by how everything turned out! We ordered the little minis for our guest cake and the giant cupcake for our cake to cut. I loved working with her from start to finish! And she's definitely gained a lot of clients from our wedding. I'll try to comment on this post with a picture of the display. It was beautiful! If you're having an event and looking for some great sweets, look no further! I highly suggest having her come to do the setup because she has such a beautifully creative eye for it. As far as flavors go, the biggest mini hits were orange dreamscicle and almond cake. We chose Pastel for our wedding cupcakes and they were absolutely beautiful and delicious!! We had their Tuxedo cupcakes and she made to order vanilla cake + chocolate buttercream.
