Farm + Yard — Attraction in Robinson

We originally came to Farm + Yard for a playset and ended up with a play set AND a shed. I had done a lot of research on various big box playset names like Rainbow, Kidkraft, Gorilla and a few others before choosing a set from Farm + Yard. Nobody could beat the price complete with installation or the quality. I love that you can actually go onsite and see the quality and construction of the play set, even let your kids give it a test drive. We worked with Dave on the selections for our playset. I also loved that we could choose colors and change some options around as far as what swings/accessories we wanted. Everything was easy from ordering to installation. The installation teams knows what they are doing. They came and put it all together in less than half a day. Our kids played on it for 4 hours once they left and have been outside on it everyday since then.

After selecting our playset we looked at the various sheds on-site and different options available for those as well. We didn’t purchase the shed that day but I later connected with Travis via Instagram(what company’s owner actually responds to IG DM’s quickly?!😱) and we did the entire purchase & contract via message. We live about 40 minutes from Farm+Yard and this was so convenient and easy. Travis answered all my multiple questions and went over color options/selections with me all via Instagram. We live in a subdivision where we aren’t able to have the shed delivered assembled so we were shocked when the installers called within a few days to schedule the construction and installation. They too were amazing working extremely efficiently and were done in less than 8 hours complete from the ground up with paint and roof.

In full transparency, we did our due diligence and shopped around before landing on a playset from Farm + Yard.

My husband is an engineer, and honestly quite handy, so we knew he would have the means (and tools) to put a playset together. However, after ample research we realized what a poor choice buying from another location would be. Each site we searched had multiple reviews of people complaining about the 400 pieces that showed up on their doorstep and the 40+ hours it took them to put the playset together. There was ZERO chance we had that kind of time, nor would our toddler suddenly have that sort of patience!

We live just up the road from Farm + Yard and know a few folks who own their playsets personally, so naturally we decided to take a look at their options, too. The experience was turn key from start to finish. Travis and his team were helpful, communicative, and prompt! Once we decided on a playset, they worked with us to find a time that worked best to have it installed - adjusting for bad weather and schedules that took us away from the house.

Additionally, on the day the playset was to be installed, they managed to get it fully up and running in less than 1 HOUR! Our little one left for school and it was completely done before they ever came home.

The simplicity of the process was incredible and we couldn't be more thrilled that we chose to work with Farm + Yard on this large purchase. Though it cost us a little bit more than something from Amazon let's say, the ease it provided our family was more than worth the extra dollars spent. I purchased a playscape for my 5 & 2 yr. old—from the minute I called Farm + Yard, it was absolutely AMAZING! David (the salesman) walked me through everything (including their website), from knowing the determining which playscape(s) would be best (due to ages), learning the specs of each, sending pictures of certain playsets, down to my final option(s) (yes, I chose two at various price ranges). I was worried they wouldn’t serive my area (outside of the 50 miles) but nope—they said they could come to Elgin. Without ever stepping foot in their showroom, I was able to do everything online/over the phone. Originally, I had a two week wait for install (my fault for waiting last minute), but Travis was able to schedule our install a few days earlier—kids got their playscape before New Years. Josue (the installer) and his crew, were outstanding. I was told he would call 30 min upon arrival—he did. I met him outside said where I would like the playscape at and BAM—he made it happen. Josue and his team were quick, I didn’t even notice when they were done; until I looked outside and seen this beautiful playscape. The husband and I got to play on it before surprising the kids with it—so, we knew how sturdy it would be.

There are not enough words to explain how painless, professional, and friendly this whole experience has been. I know we will be going back to Farm + Yard, when it’s time to add to our yard.
