I had my wedding reception at the Hauberg Estate on September 12th, 2020. Our cocktail hour was inside the home and outside in the garden area, and our reception was held under a large tent (that we rented) on their front lawn. My fiance and I wanted to have a tented outdoor reception but not at a country club or golf course. The Hauberg was absolutely perfect for us--lots of history and charm, and the setting was gorgeous. Read moreCame here for a recent German heritage event with some work mates. They had bratwurst, pretzels, big steins of Marzen beer, and various other things. The Musicmeisters also played lots of polka and various folk songs.
I really enjoyed this event. The estate was neat to tour through. I had a really nice conversation with one of the caretakers about their Mason Hamlin grand piano and plans for restoration.
The weather outside was warm but cooled off nicely for the activities in the evening. They had a scavenger hunt for the kids going (something about finding a bunch of painted rocks). Bottom line, it was a fun event and I'd come back here again...
