Winter League BEWARE: I feel compelled to share my disappointment with the experience at Rockville Sports Arena, as it has been marred by a combination of issues that significantly impact the overall quality of the sports facility. Several critical concerns, including communication shortcomings, poor management, rule enforcement lapses, lack of team participation, and a potential safety concern related to age discrepancies, have collectively shaped an unsatisfactory experience. Regrettably, based on these issues, it is safe to say that we will not be returning to this complex any time soon.
Communication: The communication from Rockville Sports Arena has been notably lacking. Critical information such as schedule changes and updates are not effectively communicated to participants. This has resulted in confusion and frustration among teams and individual players. A sports complex must have a robust communication system to ensure a seamless and organized experience for all involved.
Management: The management at Rockville Sports Arena leaves much to be desired. Instances of mismanagement, disorganization, and a lack of supervision during events have been evident. Effective management is pivotal for the success of any sports facility, and the current state of affairs is compromising the overall enjoyment for participants. Addressing management issues is imperative to restore confidence in the facility.
Adherence to Rules: It is disheartening to note that Rockville Sports Arena does not consistently uphold its own rules and regulations within their league. This inconsistency has resulted in disputes among teams, eroding the fairness and sportsmanship essential to a positive sports environment. Consistent rule enforcement is fundamental to maintaining the integrity of the sports complex and fostering a healthy competitive spirit.
Lack of Other Team Participation: The lack of participation from other teams has had a detrimental impact on the quality of the league. The success and vibrancy of any league depend on active engagement from multiple teams. The current situation is discouraging and diminishes the competitiveness and appeal of the league hosted at Rockville Sports Arena.
Age Discrepancy â Safety Concern: There are alarming reports of age discrepancies within the teams, raising safety concerns during matches. Ensuring that players are of appropriate age groups is crucial to prevent potential safety issues. Rockville Sports Arena must prioritize addressing this matter promptly to safeguard the well-being of all participants. Their integrity is very questionable.
It is my hope that this feedback serves as a constructive critique and encourages the necessary improvements to enhance the overall experience for all users of the sports complex. Immediate action is needed to rectify these issues and regain the trust of the soccer community that believes in following the rules.

Read moreAs a long time customer - over a decade - Iâve personally faced a lot of discrimination recently and a few times blatant racism as a black player and I wouldnât recommend signing up for the adult soccer leagues if you want a fair experience. Refs are on a power trip, and will retain biases throughout your season, negatively affecting your experience. Even in games where weâve won, our team has had a sour experience, feeling as if we had to fight against one sided officiating.
It was better pre-Covid 2020 when teams were balanced better by age, and the experience was filled with players with like minded interests. Today teams feature the same players (no age limits) and often they recruit members of the staff to join in. So obviously the refs have bias towards their employees.
Other leagues around the area are properly managed, and understand how to control games before they get heated. The management here fuels the fire instead, and will favor players of a specific demographic. Itâs really no surprise their number of teams are declining for adult participation.
Communication with the front office is nonexistent. They donât return calls or emails for any of their league correspondence. Prices go up, but nothing improves. Not to mention jerseys were supposed to be included in one of the leagues we paid for and we never got them.
Itâs a shame as the facility is one of the only ones in the area. Probably better for private team practices but the adult leagues are horrible. If they respond I guarantee theyâll say the review is negative because âplayers only complain when they loseâ vs taking accountability for the consistency in negative reviews.
Edit post owner reply: see how the company completely tries to discredit the experience of a long time customer without acknowledging the fact. Should I have a recorder on me when a bunch of non black players use the n-word around the ref and he allows it? What an asinine reply, expected from a low level professional. The reply is proof enough of the low level professionalism here. They encourage you to raise concerns to management, but donât even answer simple calls or emails about league correspondence from paying customers lol. Save your money and time and play in the better leagues...
Read moreEdit on 6/3: You haven't responded to a single communication since February (other than here), yet you continue to send bills to our soccer coach (who never signed anything - I signed us up and I paid the fee initially) and now have sent it to a debt collection agency. I've never posted a bad review before but this has been insane.
Edit on 3/17: Once again, please call me as soon as possible. I've continued to get no response, other than here. Stop sending bills to our soccer coach, who is not responsible for the payment.
Edit on 2/19: Please call me as soon as possible. I have been calling non-stop to try to resolve this informally. The only way I got a response was by posting this review and protesting the charge. I am willing to take the review down if we can reach a resolution. And we did tell the coordinator that we were done and requesting a refund. Signed up a team for a kid's rec soccer league. Confirmed with the coordinator in advance that all teams were rec. After we paid the $850 fee, coordinator stopped responding to all emails and phone calls for weeks. (The front desk assured us many times that they had relayed our messages to him too.) Both teams we played were club teams (confirmed by their parents, team names, and uniforms) so it was not productive for them or us. Games scheduled at inconvenient times (early morning, late night) and did not respond to requests to reschedule. Asked to talk about other solutions (like giving each team half the field or playing down a year), but no response again. After dozens of attempts to resolve, asked for a refund, and again,...
