This is a great park, certainly the best that I've been to in the area. True, there is little shade, and much of the grass is dead near the entrance gate, but the trees are young, and I don't know how you expect grass to grow when the ground is continuously trampled by packs of dogs. Most of the dogs and their people are great, and the water fountains that operate in the warmer months are a huge plus. Especially the washing station outside the fence. Fair warning: if you're going to bring your dog here, just remember to have it licensed, as it is the law in most states. Signs are clearly posted at the entrance that your dog should be licensed, and the animal control officer will order you to leave, as is what happened to another reviewer. ...

The two separate sections ensure that all furry friends can play safely. The lush grass covering the entire area adds a wonderful natural touch. The availability of water is a great convenience, keeping our pups hydrated during playtime. Read moreI was passing through from out of state and wanted to get my pup some play. I was not there more than 15mins before I was asked to leave by animal control (for not having a town issued tag). My pup has all his shots and has those tags on his displayed collar. Now I can understand if I was seen there an had been made aware of the rules. As I left I did see a sign.
