Farmers Market — Local services in Rocky Mount

My son and I had a great time. Was hoping to see more with all the posts I kept seeing on Facebook. The one lady had come cheese pimento samples and they were fantastic! Only reason we did not get any at this time was lol my mother inlaw would probably question why I was buying it when she makes it herself. There was a gentleman selling tomatoes and they looked beautiful so I got some of the purple colored one they had because I've never tried those before. We then saw a wonderful couple selling some beautiful soaps and they smelled amazing! So we got 2 scents, my son helped me picked out coconut and mango and some bug butter stuff. My son found some very pretty jewelry and the lady was so nice to my son and he helped picked out a necklace.Then we came across a lovely old lady who had some honey and offered a free stick to my son but unfortunately, he doesn't like honey I went ahead and bought 4 from her, she was so sweet. We then went and got some cakes and boy oh boy were they amazing! My son alsp got a cookie. They had some food vendors there as well but we did not go over to check them out this time maybe another time. They also had a live band who were really good and sounded amazing! Hoping to see a bit more variety...

If I could give 0 stars I would.Today 7/16/24 My husband and I visited for the second time and it will be my last time. We visited the cucumber & tomato vendor/stand/ station.My husband was next line and laid his items aside as they were heavy instead of the young lady ringing my husband up she took the caucasion patrons order who was after him..told the caucasion patron to go to register on the other side .when my husband said he was next.... the young lady (caucasion)totally ignored my husband...mind you she was the only person ringing and there was 2 registers..She totally ignored my husband and he had to wait for the caucasion male to be rung up.This is wrong on all levels she knew my husband was next and she decided to blatanly ignore him.Very unfreindly and unwarm person running this stand Treating people fair and being nice goes a long way in the world and this young lady will not go far at all.I will not fund someone to treat us this way as I can go elsewhere!It's clear a certain demographic is not...

This Beautiful November /11/ 2023 .Their were a B.B.Q. Show down! Sample tasting test of the best cooking technique methods for all those Cooks! Men and Lady’s !A long with their own taste B.B.Q.Sauces! Plus’ sweet potatoes too in a other tent! Gets what to me their good’ but I don’t eat much B.B.Q.pork! These Guys they’ve better than Parker’s ion Wilson N.C. ! I said OH Really!!They are my next favorite pick! Their name’s are on baked of their Shirt’s! They’re will do Family or Cook Dinner or just oldies time big Families gatherings! Please 🙏 give them a call ☎️ for your Special Events In advance! Can’t wait to have my first one with my family and friends!!
