I took an original painting to Austin Art & Frames for framing. After nearly two weeks, I checked in for an update and was told the artwork hadn’t been framed yet. The associate offered a refund, and we agreed I’d pick up my piece later that day since I wanted to explore other framing options.
Shortly after, I received a call pressuring me to continue with the framing because the frame had already been ordered—despite this not being part of their return policy. The caller had an attitude, making the experience even more frustrating.
When I arrived to retrieve my artwork, no one was at the front, though I could hear voices in the back. After waiting, I noticed my painting sitting unattended near the door with a check on top—short of the amount I was owed.
