Updating my review based on my latest experience but still leaving at 3 stars.

In our first visit, we dined in and there were virtuallly no customers which we hoped would mean great service since the staff was obviously plenty and not busy but instead, we received cold food (my dish) and it was late, coming in 14 minutes after my wife got hers. I ate my food after my wife finished hers. Not a great experience. I also had to repeatedly ask for service to get another drink and more food which again took too long to deliver.

But, the food was good (except my cooler than it should be dish) and we decided to give it another try.

Our last recent experience was great in terms of food. Awesome sushi and other dishes and their Roti Planta is a key reason we like this place. But why is the service so bad? Again, the restaurant was not busy but it took forever to get food and the waitress was kind of rude and not proactive in asking if there is anything else we may want to order. So, not a great dine-in experience.

So, we decided to just order the food using UberEats because their food is great (high price but you get what you pay for). We pay UberEats the delivery fee and driver tip but the restaurant has to pay the UberEats 30%(?) fee of the total bill to UberEats so everytime the get an order from UberEats, they probably loose money given the most restaurant make well below that in profit margins, especially since no liquor sales (higher profit) are involved.

It's unfortunate really. I wish the restaurant could get their staff better trained and deliver food quicker and looking at other reviews here, this seems to be the #1 challenge they have and our experience were not isolated ones.

To the owner, we are open to visit again in-person once these areas are addressed...

Yesterday on Mother’s Day , i visited this place along with my husband and two daughters. Food and ambience I would say was okay and service was super quick. What I felt was the staff was not so welcoming. Especially the server who was assigned to our table. We have been to so many different places for different cuisines but never felt this before. Servers are always very welcoming , cheerful and would try to do small talks and answer all your questions about the food menu and veg options if you are vegetarian but our server had a poker face all the time. She didn’t put any effort to talk to us , she was very reluctant to answer any questions and even if she did say couple of sentences, it seemed like , she was doing favors and she was rushed. My daughter is learning Chinese in her school and she was very excited to visit this place so that she can practice her newly learned language skill there but out server didn’t show any interest which was kind of rude . I can understand that there might be a language problem and because of that there could be a communication gap but we have visited so many different restaurant in and around country where there was communication gap , but there was always a warmth when a server attended us . My feedback would be that at this place, staff could be more friendly and welcoming and can show the excitement and warmth to see the customers especially the ones who are coming there for the...

We decided to try out this restaurant on a whim, but sadly, it didn’t meet our expectations. When we think of Chinese food, we imagine bold spices and rich flavors, but what we got was quite the opposite. The heavily battered and fried pepper steak lacked the authentic taste we were hoping for, and the chicken prepared in two styles also fell short of our flavor expectations.

To emphasize our disappointment, we compared this restaurant to Panda Express, a fast-food chain. Surprisingly, even Panda Express offered more satisfying flavors than this place, which was a bit disheartening.

Adding to our dissatisfaction was the pricing. We were quite surprised to see a single spring roll priced at $4, which felt like an overcharge.

In conclusion, we genuinely hope the restaurant takes our feedback to heart and works on improving its culinary offerings. While we were initially excited to try something new, the lackluster flavors and pricing have left us with no desire to return. Our feedback is meant to be constructive, and we look forward to the possibility of a better dining experience...

Use to come here regularly but stopped years ago....we would get the same waitress at lunch and she always put out the vibe that she couldn't be bother. Flash forward to last week, decided to give this place another chance. Chinatown has redeemed themselves! Service was excellent, the food was as good as I remembered it. I love their lunch menu, so many options to choose from. At first glance maybe a little pricy butvI assure you the quality and quantity of the meal is worth every penny! My friend got the Box Lunch and she had enough for lunch and some. I just got the Moo Gai Pan lunch special. It was so good. Love their Hot and Sour soup. The chicken was tender and the veggies🥦🥕🌽 had the perfect wok crisp. The hot chili oil is really spicy.. Just needs a little bit to go a long way. Service was superior! I forgot how much I enjoy this restaurant. I'm so happy I gave it another chance. Impressed all the way around!

Overall, I'd rate this as "average". Everything was okay but nothing stood out. The wonton soup was the best thing out of my order. The broth was nice and salty and it included a lot of chives, with a fair amount of wontons. The wontons, themselves, had a tasty filling but were a bit thicker than I prefer. The Hot and Sour soup was a bit off. It had a nice amount of ingredients but it was a little bland. It didn't really have the classic, hot and sour taste that it looked like it was going to deliver. Lastly, the Kung Pao beef was good. It was more of a bell pepper centric kung pao than the spicy kind, with the baby corn, but the sauce was nice and the beef was tender. I might reorder from here but I would definitely double-check my other options first.
