I was by myself so I was able to interact with the guide the way I like to by having the time to ask questions. I had moved to Person County in the 8th grade and then moved to Durham County 2 years after college. Otherwise I would have known, and was delighted to learn, that a woman who was a member of my church, whose family I knew, started the museum. I did not get to see all of it because there was so much to look at in the time that I had. Person County has produced many important people, some who were famous , in government, military, and entertainment. As a retired teacher, I appreciate even more now, both the history of a previously very rural county, which still has farming, and certainly the people remembered and honored at the Museum. Read moreThis a a great museum in Roxboro. You get a tour guide, which is very imformative. There are 2 houses, and a old school house, tobacco barn and soon a country store . They have lot of information about Person County. A lot of really great history, some good some not so good. African American room was great.
