We have not been here for several months and decided to drop in today. Our previous experiences with the food were not good after the original owner sold the restaurant. However today seemed to be much better. We ordered hot and sour soup to share. Its a large bowl big enough for several cups each and loaded with stuff. I don't care for the flavor of bamboo and unfortunately it was loaded with bamboo. Next time I will advise them to leave it out. But it was spicy and flavorful. We also ordered eggplant with pork in a hot pot over rice. So very yummy. I was sorry I didn't take another order to go for dinner!🐷 We finished with a scoop of Mango icecreme. Creamy fruity flavor to complete a nice meal. Be aware the ice cream is now 2.50 a scoop not 1.75 as stated on the menu. Guess the staff didn't even know the price was wrong on the menu. The waitress was nice but very hard to understand unless you speak Chinese and we don't. In spite of that we all managed ok. We will be going back soon and I will be willing to try some of the dishes we used to enjoy here again. We like to support local businesses. ...
Read moreMy sister and I have been to Blue Moon twice. Both times were for lunch. We are not Asian but everyone else in the full restaurant was. Blue Moon offers a nice lunch menu with each item $6.45 (with tax, = $7.00!) My sister ordered a fish dish over rice and a delicious sauce. General serving - she ate every bite. I had the sesame chicken with rice. Everything was steaming hot and fresh. We spoke with a couple of other diners and they explained what they were eating. We almost got whiplash twisting our heads to see what was coming out of the kitchen next. Oh, drinks came with the lunch specials. I must admit, no refills were included.
If you like karaoke, this might be an interesting place. It is not a night club environment. Rooms of various sizes designed to accommodate small to large groups are located in the rear of the restaurant. Each room has seating and TV. For a fee, you gather your group and make your own private karaoke party.
I go for the food. Most of it is Hong Kong Style. We had no problem with the service. She was attentive and prompt. I like...
Read moreBeen here twice and i'm always more than satisfied! :) We always go during happy hour though, it's a lot more affordable per hour. I especially love that their karaoke rooms are private so you don't have to humiliate yourself in front of strangers, you can just humiliate yourself in the comfort of your friends. I've only ordered their fried rice and broccoli beef and its pretty good, not the best, but it's not bad either. The place is always clean, and they always offer brand new(sealed) covers for the mics- for those of you who find it necessary to sing with the mic pressed up against your lips (gross!) in the end we (my friends and i) always split the bill accordingly, and the lady that works there is always nice enough to go through the trouble of calculating it all and charging it all separate for us, even though i can tell it's a BIG hassle for her. This place is a definite check out/hangout place, why are you still reading...
