This is the church I wish I'd found many years ago. My family have been members here for 4-5 years, and we are still finding new things to appreciate about our church, and be thankful for. This church is faithful to elevate the word of God as the primary focus in everything, and the church leaders devote themselves to helping members grow in their faith by providing counsel and encouragement; even visiting our homes to check in with us. It's also been wonderful to develop friendships with other people from various backgrounds who are all united in seeking to grow in their love and knowledge of God.
I have never experienced the combination of sound doctrine and grace that is here; I've been in churches that had grace, at the expense of sound doctrine, or that used sound doctrine as an excuse to be graceless, but I am so thankful for the balanced and biblical union of both here.
My wife and I love the intentional and methodical effort via adult and children's Sunday school to educate us and our young children in the word of God, rather than placing all the responsibility on one sermon preached by the pastor. It's also good to see various people volunteering to participate in the Sunday schools and other activities.

Read moreIf you’re looking for a historical, essential and central background of GOD’S word this is the place… Singing of the psalms and hymns that will place the LORD on your mind as you sing corporately with the congregation is something you have to be apart of in order to feel the beauty of it… Children are valued and encouraged at ALL ages to be apart of the worship service, children are also heavily poured into that they would come to see life through a biblical world view… There is a potluck style fellowship after Sunday school every week on the LORD’S day, while frequent fellowship get togethers to continue the growth of coming together and getting to know each other… There are a lot of young families as well which is a blessing to see and be among… The welcoming of new comes needs a little work, which I can say with experience they have got a lot better at and I am so grateful for not just for myself but for those coming...

It is definitely historical, dating from the 1500's Protestant Reformation. But there is some more modern Christian music as well as the old hymns of faith. It is a confessional church (the Apostle's Creed, Chalcedonian Creed, the ten commandments) and holds to the 3 Forms of Unity (The Westminster Confession of Faith, The Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dordt).
