A surprise find along the Newport strip area. This place is packed and once you experience the food, you'll know why.
Their food is very savory and tasteful. and all were reasonably priced. Their fresh steam fish was perfectly done with enough ginger and onion and soy sauce.
Their salt and pepper shrimp was perfect. there was no excess batter and it had the right amount of heat. They used a decent size shrimp and was not overcooked.
What was a surprise is they have the BEST Roast Pork I've had. We opted for their appetizer platter that had their chicken and Roast Pork and it was hit. The Roast Pork was not overly chewy and tender with the right amount of fat left. The skin was crunchy but didn't take much effort to eat.
My only minor complaint is their salty fish and chicken fried rice. Granted I know it's salty fish but I've had others and it wasn't that salty.
This place is bustling busy but they have about 7 waiters and the food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went here earlier tonight to try a new place after not really liking New Lai Wa.
Just for the readers information, I order the same three or four dishes at every new Chinese restaurant that I go to. I use it to evaluate the quality of the food.
Those dishes are Kung Pao chicken, broccoli chicken, and sesame chicken.
Classics if you ask me.
I've had kung pao chicken at over 15 Chinese restaurants in multiple cities and states and the Kung Pao at this one tasted average. I asked for medium spicy and it was a medium spicy. The flavor wasn't great though.
The broccoli chicken wasn't bad, and this time I ordered chicken chow mein as something different. The vegetables and all the dishes were overcooked and not crunchy.
I'll probably try a new place and not come back here again, but I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. Friendly staff, but kinda expensive. Three dishes netted me around...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur group of five people ate here last week. The food was the best Cantonese food Iāve had in many, many years,. One of our party traveled often to China for business, and was impressed by the āgenuineā tastes here. This is one of the few restaurants Iāve been to where every one in the group agreed 100% on the quality.
A polite helpful young man took our order served, checking several times to make sure all was satisfactory
We had hot and sour soup, egg flower soup, sautƩed beef with mushrooms and vegetables, prawns with lobster sauce, scallops with vegetables, bok choy in garlic sauce.
Everything was delicious, with perfect flavors
Atmosphere and decor are basic, but bright and clean.
Plenty of parking is available.
Definitely,...
