The park sure has come a long way since the disc golfers petitioned the city to put the course in. Now, with two tee boxes/hole and four different pin positions, it has much to offer.
This course is flat, deceptively. With big rains, water holds in areas, making o.b's. A small drainage creek/wash makes more o.b. challenge. (Early on in the course's growth, I found 52¢, a bent spoon, and a very nice watch, which I traded for a Meade 10" telescope, in said ditch. The scope doesn't even list a price in their ads in Astronomy magazine.)
Yet, i digress.
The length of holes makes it challenging, with mandatories, fallen old trees, o.b. close to pins, etc.
Within close proximity to many of Sacramento's other courses, this should be on your list.
Say hello to the locals whom made...
Read moreGood park but bad neighborhood. I've lived in the neighborhood since I was 7, I'm 23 now. As I said, really great park, there's frisbee golf, a couple of play structures, and a lot of room for pets to run around. Only downside is the neighborhood, every now and then you may get caught with some criminal activity going on very close to the park. They keep to themselves BUT there are used needles scattered so if you have young children, keep a CLOSE eye. As I said, great park but bad area so...

Next to the train/light rail tracks. No bathroom. No BBQ area. No dog park. Very dry and brown. The city needs to mow down all this overgrown grass before it catches on fire. Came here to meet someone for disc golf. We didn't stay to play. The trees are very sparse and so there is very little shade. No drinking fountain. Won't ve...
