Where do I begin? I booked two rooms for two nights through Expedia under the same reservation. The "manager on duty" randomly selected the rooms on two different floors and refused to have move my rooms closer together. This wouldn't have been an issue, but my elderly (+80yr old) grandmother and grandaunt were traveling with me as well and they sometimes need extra assistance. I asked him again to move my rooms closer or at least on the same floor, but again he refused and said that they are over booked. I was becoming irritated because I booked my reservation weeks in advance and isn't it common sense to have both rooms near or beside each other. Like come on now, it's under the same booking. I was then able to speak to another manager, and she gladly switched both rooms down to the first floor and I appreciated it so much. When I glanced over to the first manager I spoke to, he rolled his eyes at me! When I walked to the first room, you could hear the dogs (definitely not service dogs) barking in the next room and it went on for a few minutes. I was tired from the 4hr drive up to Sac and I was annoyed with the poor customer service from front desk and now the non stop barking from the Chihuahuas (I'm assuming by the sound of high pitched barking) from next door. I went back to the front desk and asked to have my rooms moved again or to get a refund. So I think Holiday Inn next door and Hampton are sister branches or something in that sort. The second manager was able to move us over there. While she was on the phone getting everything situated, the first manager told me that I need to call Expedia to get my refund because I'd be getting charged twice because of the new booking. Quickly the other manager interrupted his bs and she explained to him that she and the other hotel will take care of it and that I would not be charged twice. But in conclusion, I'd never stay here again. I'm thankful for the great hospitality of the female manager that...
Read moreI have conflicting thoughts on this hotel. The first time I stayed, they were very accommodating to my preferences and even gave me my upgrade as a diamond member. The second time I stayed, when asking for the upgrade per my member benefits I was informed they had nothing available. When I arrived my room heater was no working so I was switched to a different room by the overnight attendant ( who was amazing ) to accommodate the heat issue… I noticed the Parking lot was empty and happened to ask the night attendant just out of curiosity, “ does your hotel have any suites available for tonight in case one of my family members need it ?” She informed me that they in fact had suites available and to let her know if they would want to book. I told her thank you, and she was unaware the real reason I asked that question. However, I had to spend half of my night working on paperwork and any time I needed to do anything in their business area, she would be very accommodating and helpful. She even made fresh hot coffee!!! She was absolutely amazing !! The Following morning, I messaged the front desk who was also the same attendant I asked about the upgrade and was denied, I asked for a late check out… also a perk of diamond hilton member (or suppose to be). I was again denied and said they could not accommodate that request. As far as the cleanliness of the rooms they were 10/10 … they are in process of remodeling so its understandable and to be expected that there are some things taped off or being painted … the breakfast 10/10. ||The location is next to interstate but the rooms are 8/10 soundproof … ||The rooms are smaller but maybe that’s because it wasn’t a suite… ? ||If it wasn’t for the over night attendant being as helpful and amazing as she was, my rating would drop...
Read moreAwesome hotel, great staff. We were evacuated last minute from Marysville due to Oroville Dam. Last minute accommodations and this is where we ended up. The rates werent bad at all considering how nice this hotel is. The only downer was they arent pet friendly but besides that. Breakfast is good. Lots of choices from hot to cold food. The atmosphere is great. Considering we dont know when we will be allowed to return home. This place is a nice home away from home. Its clean, kid friendly and close to the freeway and from what weve seen theres lots to do around here. From the adults to the kids the location isnt to far from fun for either or, young and old. Cost more then the lower end hotels in the area. But I feel that here you really are getting what you pay for. The beds are super plush and comfy if you like melting into a non firm mattress. But then again thats personal preference. Nice onsite fitness room. And ive seen lots of handicap accessible rooms. Where most hotels Ive seen may only have a few Ive seen many. Been here for 2 nights already and it seems as if we will be here for another 2 to 4 days more. So I guess if you have the means and dont have the choice this place is the place to be for me and my family. The kids love it and normally my soncant settle into the hotel routine very well but he has been very comfy cozy here . And no complsints from us adults either. But then again this is no Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn. Not knocking any of those places. But definitly hvze found a hotel that has made having to be away from home not such a tragedy. So way to go Hampton Inn and suites on Auburn dr. In Sacramento. I would reccomend your accommodations to anyone who asked where a good...
