Situated between the docks, the courthouse and the river walk on the old mill property, it is a fun place to picnic. Summertime it hosts 13 Nights on The River. I consider it our community living room. Tiered levels make for good viewing of bands and events in the gazebo. Also overlooks the Columbia River. If you need to walk off a good meal there are fun shops on First Street, and the path around the river walk. If you need to find a good meal there are three restaurants less than a block away. Read moreWe moored our boat at the community dock and took a stroll through downtown St. Helens. Cute town that clearly prides itself on its Halloween events. Despite COVID-19 they had a little festival space in a park and all the businesses downtown seemed to participate. Downtown had lots of restaurants, though many are closed Monday & Tuesday. The community park has lots of kids party areas and a nice view over the channel and the river with lots of traffic. Read moreNot a huge park, but nice. Clear view of the Columbia River. On the right day you can see My. Saint Helens, and Mt. Hood from the park. There is a gazebo with tiered grass seating in front of it which is used for concerts in the summer. Its use including electrical outlets is available for rent through the city. There is a small playground and splash pad for the littles. There are public docks directly accessible from the park. Plenty of park tables for picnics on nice days.
