This masjid has a beautiful interior, is usually fairly clean, has a large private women's prayer room with large windows for lots of natural light (windows are coated so people cannot peak in at you while praying). It also has a separate women's lounge (with toys and books for kids), and nice bathrooms with actual wudu stations. The whole building has a warm, pleasant, inviting energy to it that just makes you fell happy and calm. There is an Arabic khutbah and an English one. Although this location is new Masjid At-Taqwa has been around in Saint Paul since 1993 and this is by far their best location. I love the diversity at this Mosque as well with Muslims from all backgrounds attending on a frequent basis. Overall this is one of the best mosques in the...
Read moreI partook in the phone bank for Gaza event and there were some weak points in the organization of the event. Particularly for virtual phone bank participants. In the initial google form, they promised accommodation for virtual participants through a Zoom link. I clicked and waited on that Zoom link for 45 minutes waiting for the host to start the meeting and give us instruction but it never happened. In the meantime, I tried to navigate the phone bank website (having never done anything like it before). I also checked MAS instagram story in case there was some kind of updated Zoom link or explanation for the delay, but there was none. I was able to get past some confusion and made all of 2 calls before giving up and just deciding to use the script MAS provided to call my senator on my own as many times as I could. I hope MAS can avoid issues like this in the future and train event organizers better because managing volunteers is not...
