This is a review for the BAITSHOP. I went in and SPECIFICALLY asked what size shrimp they had because usually they have extra small ones. Lady goes on to show me some fairly decent sized mediums/large which were the sizes I was looking for . She states that "oh actually today it's the best size we've gotten in awhile"(Should have known that was not true because a buddy called them them a few days prior and they told him they had some pretty good sized ones.) I went with the special 5 dozen for $10. Should have checked the sizes before I paid & left because there were literally only maybe 10 decent sized shrimp in my bucket and the rest were literally tiny extra small shrimp, which she never told or showed me. Now I understand this place supposedly gives a mixed bag of shrimp but, I wasn't exactly given a mixed bag (same case my last several trips here, but that was around summer time when shrimp are small so that was understandable.) Literally 90% of the shrimp were too small to catch anything BUT pinfish. So technically I paid $10 for 10 shrimp that could actually catch something decent. The small ones were practically useless. If I wanna catch pinfish, I have a cast net for that.
Recommendation: if a customer comes in and specifically asks beforehand how the shrimp sizes are, be upfront about the size instead of showing the biggest ones in the tank and then giving ones that are 1/5 the size of the ones you decide to show. I've been here multiple times. Sometimes it's good experience but most times it's always the same story. They've lost my business for...
Read moreI recently purchased a Tidewater 198 from Mr. Robert McCurdy at O'Neill's Marina. I wanted to leave a review to help any potential boat buyers in their decision as to where to buy a boat. In my search for the perfect boat I went to multiple different dealers including the Keys as well as a boat show. Mr. McCurdy was straight forward and quoted a fair price from the beginning. I returned to O'Neill's Marina and ordered the boat I wanted. I deleted some options and added others to keep the boat within my budget. Mr. McCurdy suggestions were very helpful in that process. I now have my boat and "Love it". I have owned many boats throughout my life and this Tidewater is fantastic. It is a good quality boat for the price. This 198 rides better than my previous 23' Cobia and I couldn't be happier. There are a few minor issues with the boat that need to be addressed (This is to be expected with any new boat purchase). I called Mr. McCurdy and discussed the issues. He reassured me they would be fixed at it's first 20 hour service. I would recommend that if anyone is looking to buy a boat to take the time and go to O'Neill's Marina and talk to Mr. McCurdy. If anyone is considering Tidewater, I feel it is a great value and it is definitely worth taking a look at. I know a huge factor in buying a boat is the service you receive from your dealership after you make the purchase. I will update my review after the boats first service to comment on the service and any issues I have fixed. Safe...
Read moreBought my 2020 boat July 2019 . My first issues for warranty work have been a nightmare ! I have pink discoloration on my white cushions that Was suppose to be replaced and now to wait 8 months for repair then told , nope it’s sunscreen we won’t replace ?! Not sunscreen by the way ! The communication of the sales manager is extremely poor . Don’t expect to know how much , what service or how long they will have the boat or anything unless you reach out to them several times . Oh and if your a newer boat owner don’t expect any explanation on anything unless you have your own knowledge to ask. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement . I hope I never have to deal with them again and I am regretting making my first NEW boat purchase with them !!! Now I will have to fight to get what is...
