Loggerhead Marina — Attraction in Saint Petersburg

Ashley's post is a good example of what the condo owners have done to this great marina. They buy into a complex that is next to a marina, and then expect the marina to cater to their their needs and help solve parking issues created by Taylor Morrison. Ashley's self centered viewpoint and advice for Suntex Corporate peels back a layer exposing the core of the problem. Her view is that Suntex "should be grateful for the condo community", I think it should be more the other way around. When I last checked, this marina was here long before the condos were built. They even managed to somehow pay their bills without them. Ashley's view reveals what some condo owners feel. They feel the marina should accommodate their wants and desires, even though the marina has absolutely nothing to do with the condos. The marina has tried to work with them by sharing the captains lounge and the pool area, amenities that belong to the marina, not the condos. But that isn't good enough as they keep complaining about everything while blaming the marina for the parking problem Taylor Morrison created. Ashley, and those like her need to face the reality they purchased a condo with limited parking and no pool. The problems and tensions at this facility are created by the limited space offered by Taylor Morrison and magnified by the self centered views of many of the those who decided to purchase here. However, I do feel bad for many of them as they were sold a bill of goods by the condo sales team. The sales team mislead many of them and created the illusion this was one happy facility that would cater to them. Poor communication by TM is the root cause of their problem. JP and staff do an amazing job of taking care of the needs of MARINA customers. It is a shame the condo owners encroach on their time asking for marina solutions to Taylor Morrison problems. Before I review this marina, I'd like to refute Ashley Sharee's poor review as pure balderdash. While the parking situation has been rife with contention from the very moment of planning, the true fault of any misunderstanding seems to lie solely at the feet of Taylor Morrison who allegedly misrepresented a whole slew of things to prospective condo owners that simply wasn't the case.

There will always be problems of some sort because the marina and the condo owners are strange bedfellows having to share many things including pool parking, drive through streets and the water way. I suggest you return to enjoying the lovely environs and ignore the rest.

We've been at this marina the last four years and have ALWAYS been treated well by the employees. JP has brought a new level of marina management to the staff and it shows in most every experience we incur.

Prices are fair and the attendance by the dock hands is always prompt. Additionally, the office staff are always friendly and quick to help in any situation.

Placed our boat there in 2020 and started out great but went downhill pretty quick over the past few years. For the past year there is never any staff around to help during docking, no one there to bring the cart to you to help in unloading boat, always waiting for boat to be put in water well after launch time. Our engines got damaged from the forklift at some point and they took no responsibility at all. Blamed it on us. The area that was damaged from the forklift could have only been that - nothing else. The kicker to this review is that we were moving out of state and needed to have our boat put in the water so we could move it to a trailer. Loggerhead told us they would not be able to do this for at least a month. We had given them plenty of notice since we had to organize this all through a company that transports boats. They basically wanted to hold our boat hostage. We did find a creative way to work around this but just seems unreasonable that we had to do this with OUR boat.
