Princess & Penguin Formalwear — Attraction in Salina

So I was graduating from college a few weeks back and I had an award ceremony that I needed to find a shirt for. However I wanted this shirt to have the cuff link holes because I had cuff links that I wanted to wear. Being the procrastinator that I am I waited until the day before the awards ceremony to attempt to look for a shirt. No other place had shirts with cuff link holes in the area. Not Kohl’s, not JC Penny’s, no one. So I called Princess and Penguin as a last ditch attempt to find a shirt with the expectation that once they found out the event was the next day they would tell me there was nothing they could do. Regardless I explained my situation and from the second I called I received arguably the best customer service that I have ever had. I believe I was speaking with Caresse and she told me that if I could come in and get my measurements taken then she could ask their supplier to do a rush order and have the shirt for me by tomorrow morning. I went in and Caresse was so nice and accommodating that I decided right on the spot that even if she wasn’t able to get the shirt for me I would give them the best review I could. They so empathetic with my situation and did everything they could to help me out. The rushed order ended up getting approved and I received the shirt I needed. Not only was it very reasonably priced but it was honestly one of the most comfortable dress shirts I’ve ever owned. Bottom line is, if you are going any other place for your dress clothes needs, you’re making a HUGE mistake. Give this place your business you will...

They was great helping the bride pick out her dress but went down hill very quickly from there! The bridesmaids had an appointment right after the bride. They walked away said just a minute, that was the end of any assistance we got! We picked the dresses with no help! Once we finally got enough attention to ask if we could get three more of them the lady who does alterations smarted off those aren’t bridesmaids dresses, “Well they are now”! She then proceeded to say she would order me the size I tried on! It was huge on me! I stated multiple times I wanted smaller that you could see down the back and everything else! She said don’t worry I can alter it to fit.. why when I can order a smaller size? She ordered me the too big dress altered the length charged me $80 for the alterations! It’s still to big in the waistline! My sister picked it up and they was very rude to her! Never will a they get my business or anyone I knows business! Worst customer service! They make alterations you don’t need or want! The bride’s alterations ended up costing as much as the dress and the is not even happy with the finished product! I am adding an update to add that the owner of the store was great and like I said before helped the bride with picking her dress and she was wonderful! We had no complaints with her! The bride had no negative comments about her! I feel to be fair that...

I stopped in here with my best friend/ MOH just the other day. And we stopped in, not expecting much more than to just gather ideas and put numbers in our heads. This was absolutely NOT the case we got in return!! As soon as we stepped in the door, someone was helping us! Not only that, got us in with either the owner or manager- and boy oh boy…. I got put into a dress I LOVED! These gals even tore it apart once they got word it didn’t fit just right to see if they could fix it for me. They can’t. So they put me in another. Which was so pretty, just not my style. So they pull out a 3rd. Mind you, we were working with a very low budget to begin with. This dress was already on sale- but not on sale enough. I fell in love with this dress almost as much as that first dress. I’m not a dress person. Which I’d like to say was pretty obvious. However they still cut the sale price a little over 50% for me!! I’d like to say I walked out with it. But I didn’t yet due to having made a payment arrangement, and needing alterations. Guys! These gals go ABOVE AND BEYOND as far as customer service!! My maid of honor and I are still in awe over the service we got! If we had to go there a million times over we would!! And on a plus side- when they found out it’s a LGBT wedding, they didn’t have ANYTHING NEGATIVE to say!
