We called twice about reservations and were told parties under 5 couldn’t book in advance. First, we were told the earliest time was 11:30 PM, then 12 AM. We arrived at 9:30 PM to see if anything was available or to get on a list, but the male host said no—then he went to interrupt another group if they were leaving soon to see if we could have that room. He said they are staying and the earliest room would be 11:30 PM, and we agreed to wait, but no one told us to sign in.
We returned at 11:25 PM, were rushed into a room with no instructions, and saw other guests being told the same rule—except now it had changed to parties under 6 couldn’t book over the phone. About 10 minutes into karaoke, the host came in saying someone else had booked the room and we had to leave. After some discussion, he offered 30 minutes free for the “misunderstanding,” then later said the other group had left so we could stay.
They use YouTube for karaoke, which would be fine if not for the terrible lag and playback issues from sharing one account across rooms. I had to log out of the designated account, causing ads to play between songs. It was a better sacrifice than having an error message pop up while you waited for another party to finish their video. Someone also kept opening and closing our door for no reason which made me uncomfortable.
When paying, we were charged $77 despite being offered 30 minutes for free and no food or drinks ordered. Staff said we couldn’t pay by the minute and would be charged $30 per hour if we went over. I don’t know what the extra $17 was From. The karaoke itself was fun, but the disorganization, inconsistent rules, and confusing pricing make this place not...
Read morethe actual karaoke was fun and the room was small but comfortable. My only complaint is the guy who was running the karaoke rooms was pretty rude and passive aggressive towards me and my friends. He was rude when we came in and when we asked for a room and had an attitude, then when we went to pay he literally stood and judgmentally looked one of my friends up and down before going to the register to check us out. The worst part is we were overcharged by them starting our timer 20-30 minutes before we even got in room. they started our time at 9:30pm when we didn’t get into the room until 9:56pm. When we got in the room he said he’d TRY to get us 2 hours. long story short we lost track of time and we left the room at 12:15 which is a grand total of 2 hours and 20 minutes. He said we had 15 minutes left. so that would mean we should’ve paid for 2hrs and 35 minutes. We said we would pay for the left over time assuming we’d be charged forl the 2 hours and 35 minutes we spent in the room. We ended up having to pay for 3 hours when we weren’t even in there for 3 full hours regardless if we had left early the room early or not we should not have been charged for THEM starting our timer early. Not to mention there was a sign in the front that said the first 30 minutes of karaoke were free on Friday and saturday's and it was friday so idk where that was. I was recommended this place by a friend who after the fact mentioned they shared a similar experience with the same guy being...
Read moreWe had a horrible experience with this place and cannot possibly recommend it. We booked a large room for my girlfriend’s birthday. Upon arrival we went and got some water cups. One of the employees informed us we could not take them into the room due to “possible spills on the wood floors”. When asking for clarification why we couldn’t bring cups or even tumblers when we’re already going to be buying alcohol etc. they totally shifted gears and just told us they wanted us to pay for water. Another higher employee came in very rudely lecturing us about people “taking advantage” of their “generous hospitality”. The whole interaction was so needlessly intense and awkward we would have left on the spot if we hadn’t already put our card down.
The room itself - karaoke setup is really just YouTube with a sound system. There was a horrible lag so we spent about 2 minutes between songs just trying to get things working.
And to top it all off, they added a 20% gratuity to everyone’s individual tab on top of a 20% gratuity for the room. They don’t even provide any service to the room! we each individually had to go to the bar and take time out of the room to order food and drinks.
None of this these policies about the water or gratuity was mentioned up front, despite questions we asked in advance.
Do not waste your money or time at this nickle and dime establishment. You have YouTube at home. Just buy a nice mic...
