**Update** Visted again one night for the all you can eat with 2 friends. Meal no longer included soup and salad, tempura, or pancake. Restaurant was out of seaweed salad and prices have increased a little from last visited that was at the beginning of Covid. Otherwise the quality of food and service was about the same. ‐----------------- We decided to try this place after passing by and seeing the sign on the street corner advertising all you could eat. The outside and inside resembles more of a bar than a restaurant. But the tables with burners were very modern. With adjustable ventahoods that were silent After sitting down we found out the large sign on the street corner had the incorrect price. The vinyl banner hanging above the door had the correct price, which was a few dollars more. Despite the increase of a couple dollars we decided to go ahead and try the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ to see how it compared to others in San Antonio and Austin. When the sides and appetizers were first brought out we were very surprised. A soup with bean sprouts, large bowl of salad and a potato omelette we're brought out along with all of the regular side dishes we were expecting. All of the side dishes and appetizers had good flavor and our waitress refilled them promptly as we finished them. Cucumber kimchi, pickled Daikon radish, potatoes, kimchi cabbage, and Chinese broccoli with sesame oil we're just some of the banchan brought to the table. We started with the brisket and pork belly. Both of them had very good flavor and were tender. Then we ordered the bulgogi pork and beef. Both of these had good flavor as well but I enjoyed the pork belly and brisket more. We didn't even make it to the other meats offered on the regular meal. You would need a table with at least four people to be able to try everything offered. Everything brought out had good flavor, was pretty muchauthentic as far as Korean BBQ in America goes, and was served in large portions. Compared to other all-you-can-eat Korean barbecues in San Antonio and Austin this one might be the best in San Antonio. The side dishes had better flavor than some of the other places, and the price was on par or a little under many of the others. I'll definitely come back with friends to eat again.

This place was pretty awesome. We have eaten here a couple of times now. Our waiter gave us a good explanation and recommendation on some of the different types of dishes. So far, we have tried the BBQ dishes but we are looking forward to trying the hot pot on our next visit. They do offer the all you can eat for the grill, with plenty of selection on the two tiers of meat. They also have a single dinner serving with the sides. This is the better option if you are by yourself or with one other person. I personally feel that the all you can eat is more suited for a family style dinner, to try a bit of everything. We ordered 2 dishes, you can't go wrong with the LAGalbi, very tender short ribs. What really surprised me were the sides. We have been to other Korean BBQ places (Belaire Area in Houston) and the highlight there were the meats. However, the sides here are so delicious and they refill them for you as much as you'd like. Our number one side, that we could not get enough of, was the Korean Pickled Radish. It is hard to describe such great taste so you have to try it for yourself. There has been variety in the sides on our visits. Also try the fish cakes and the soju. Lastly, they have a karaoke area in the restaurant but it is not operational due to covid. However, they do offer private karaoke rooms per the hour right next door. Their prices were really reasonable.

Another good Korean barbecue place in San Antonio. Was very crowded and already had a long line outside way before opening time at 5pm. Good thing we had reservations! Place is small and rustic A no-frills place which I appreciate as long as the food offerings are ourstanding. We were a large party and pre ordered the basic AYCE bbq option which included chicken, beef, beef bulgogi, pork bulgogi, pork belly and spicy pork belly. Meats were all good. Banchan limited to kimchi (cabbage, besn sprouts) mashed potatoes and jalapenos in a vinegar sauce. Rice is 2$ a bowl. I guess one can ask for other veggies but may be additional. They have karaoke rooms one one side which we also reserved after dinner. Staff were very nice and helpful and the right amount of attentive. Will come back for their other Korean dishes.

So disappointed. We’ve been coming to One Pocha for a year now, and are considered regulars. You could usually find us here at least once a week usually twice. We order the AYCE every time for three adults, and usually order adult beverages as well, and an entree or two in addition. (We spend $). We are almost always treated with exceptional service smiling faces and they know our order before we are even seated. We always make sure to keep our space as clean as possible, and make sure the plates and table are an easy clean up for the staff. And we TIP WELL. Usually 25-35%. All that to say, we are good customers. However after the last couple of times, and ESPECIALLY tonight, we won’t be coming back.

We came in to the restaurant 30% full, the other 70% of tables covered in dishes trash etc. We were seated at a dirty table, which was cleaned a few minutes after we sat down.. Ordered our food and drinks. They brought the sides missing a couple of items, no big deal figured they would come when ready… Nope. No rice was brought until we asked for it. Here you can order two plates at a time, and then they refill. We typically order 10-12 plates of meat. And finish everything. In a two hour time span we were only allowed to order four plates. Why? NO ONE came to our table to check on us at all. When my husband finally waved down someone to get our drinks refilled, he asked if we wanted a to go box for our entree and was eager to get us out of the place. We said no, and he said he’d be back. He came back with the drinks asked if we needed ice, (drinks are served by the can here), we said yes. And NEVER came back. He was happy to fill the other tables needs, and continued to neglect us. When he finally came back again, he asked if we needed anything else, and at this point we were done dealing with their incompetence, so we asked for the check. He cleared our table of one tall stack of dishes so he could have a space to put the check down. We paid our bill, and did not leave a tip, wrote disappointed on the ticket. We literally received almost no service in the TWO HOURS we sat there, and we’re leaving an AYCE place hungry. What an epic fail, especially when your paying a premium price. As we were leaving he apologized for the delay in service (AFTER TWO HOURS of nothing) and said thank you.

We walked out to our car , and the little man came running out red faced, chest puffed out, and YELLING at us in front of the other customers who were smoking outside. “If your so disappointed don’t come back here! You aren’t welcome!!!” My husband asked him what he said because he couldn’t understand with the mask on, and he repeated what he said. My husband asked where the manager was, and he said he WAS the manager. This person has served us one time previously, and that wasn’t a good experience either. He’s never had our table after that. My husband then asked who the owner was and what day they would be in as he’d be happy to share what happened with them. The “manager” got quiet real fast and backed up. He then told us not to come back because they won’t serve us or let us in. Mind you, this is all over a TIP and us writing “disappointed” on the ticket. We didn’t ask to be comped, or for special treatment. But if your not going to serve us, or wait on our table, there’s no way your getting a tip. It’s very unfortunate, my husband is planning on getting in touch with the owner to let them know what happened, but we will be looking for a new Korean BBQ place that treats its customers well, and keeps the regulars happy. What a disappointment.

I will also mention that they changed chefs about a month ago or so, and the food hasn’t been the same quality since then. Maybe when they get their managers temper under control, and the chef figures out their groove we...

I left the service without a rating bc I truly meant a 0/5

I love trying new food spots, especially Korean food. I had been pretty excited to try this place for a few months, as I have missed a lot of my late night Korean food spots back in Austin. I decided to go with my family around 5:30/6pm. When we walked in, there were 2 customers seated and eating. We weren't greeted. Just kind of sat at a table. The place looked really run down, like dirty napkins and chopsticks on the ground near my feet, but I brushed it off as I had been so excited and thought maybe it was a crazy night before. The younger guy who finally came to our table didn't introduce himself, and he didn't even explain the menu/ ordering process, which was a bit confusing when you're missing half the menu. This place is pretty much a karaoke bar that serves a couple of Korean dishes. The menu was pretty limited, in my opinion, and the confusing part of the ordering process was the non-alcoholic drinks (the half of the menu missing contained these) The guy walked up to the table in silence. We all ordered just a water to start since we were still confused, but the guy walked a way so quickly before I could ask. He came with the waters and left again just as quick, but not once...NOT ONCE...did he ask what we wanted to drink. All we saw was the soju/alcohol menu, so we didn't even realize they had other drinks until I noticed the small fridge by the bar that had a few canned sodas that were overpriced, and that's about it. We ordered our food, again from the guy who stood in silence and made me feel like it was an issue we were there so early. While waiting for the food ~20mins... we tried watching their tvs, but the sound didn't even match what was on the screen 🤣 We weren't checked on a single time while we were there. A little bit of my background , I'm a HUGE fan of Dolsot Bibimbap and so I'm aware how hot the stone bowls are, but when silent guy (since I still don't know his name) brought our food...he handed me the bowl without saying a single word of caution, and typically they are served on a plate that's a bit larger than the bowl....in this case it was the same size. So it slid and def left its mark on my finger. Again, if you aren't used to that dish and just trying it for the first time, you'd have no clue how hot those bowls can be. You should be warned when you get the dish...it wouldn't shock me if you don't get that warning, so I'll gladly give it to you now. After my finger incident, I went to go wash my hands but literally turned right around after opening the doors. That bathroom....was something else. 😵‍💫🤮 I've never left such a bad review, but I was so disappointed in the experience, upset with the lack of service (esp for the food prices, there's plenty of other spots around a 10 mile radius that are better for the price alone), but I think the icing on the cake was the "service" we received (technically the extreme lack of it).

If you want somewhere for dinner, go elsewhere. If you want to just get drunk off soju until that place looks like a kdrama soju bar, sing your favorite songs to videos that don't match, and want to never be acknowledged or bothered, this seems like your place to be.🫰 Such a...

This place is disappointing and a scam. What was once a fun place my friends and I liked to go is now not worth it at all. We have dined in and we have reserved karaoke rooms here. The latest visit was for my birthday and at this point, we already knew renting a karaoke room was going to be a high bill. But for the karaoke system, the food, the drinks and the service, it is absolutely NOT worth it anymore. The food is just okay, there are plenty Korean food restaurants in San Antonio at this point, so it's not a selling point. The service has always been hit or miss here, with the man, who I believe is named Ryan, forgetting our food at times, and serving us the wrong items other times. We started asking to be served by someone else when we came in to dine. For the karaoke, they have adopted a system where you look up songs through YouTube. They don't even have YouTube premium so you're constantly getting up to skip ads. For playing karaoke videos on YouTube and having faulty wireless mics, it is not worth $30 an hour in my opinion. I will be investing in my own living room set up in order to cast on the tv the same exact music on YouTube from my seat on the couch instead of an ipad placed on the wall. Except I actually have YT premium and don't have to sit through ads. This last trip we went for 3 hours, got 2 water bottles (they would not give us water cups, said "only water bottles" and then later we saw him carrying a refillable jug of water they normally serve at korean bbq restaurants) one bottle of soju for $15 and 2 margaritas for $7 each. 3 hours x $30= $90 + a $15 soju = 105 + $7 margs(x2) = $119 and then I get the rest of the $158 bill was for the two water bottles?? And likely a tip they added on despite us NOT BUYING FOOD AND NOT GETTING ANY SERVICE. We walked up out of the room to the bar to buy drinks as instructed, they did not serve us the drinks and I actually don't think you deserve whatever tip you added on for yourself for handing us a bottle of soju. And all on top of this, the man told us we went over time and that they normally charge if you go over and to "be careful next time". If you come here you need to watch and set your time like a hawk because from what we timed, starting from the time we actually started singing and not when we were having problems with the faulty microphones that were missing buttons, we were at 3 hours. For all the money I'm giving you for no service and a dingy karaoke room and YouTube cast on a tv, on a night where multiple rooms were available because it was slow, I think you should just take your money and be quiet. If you want Korean food: go to the restaurants around Seoul Asian Market, the new Kpot, Pelicana chicken, or Hon Machi. If you want karaoke: go to Round1 and pay a FRACTION of the price they are charging at this dingy place. You get a bigger party room and better karaoke set up as well. If you want good service: go literally...
