El Molcajete: A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering (5 Stars!)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Forget "good" - El Molcajete is phenomenal. Forget "stellar service" - it's warm and welcoming. Forget "mind-blowing atmosphere" - it's clean, comfortable, and exactly what a family-run restaurant should be.

Here's the thing: I've eaten at countless Mexican restaurants. Some were amazing, some were...well, not. But El Molcajete stands out. It's not trying to be the flashiest, but it delivers on what truly matters: exceptional food and genuine hospitality.

The flavors are out of this world. The Plato Tejano? A fiesta for your taste buds! Enchiladas De Queso? Creamy, cheesy heaven. Every bite is a testament to deliciousness.

And the service? Friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. Sure, there might be a mop bucket tucked away (who cares?), but it doesn't take away from the warm and inviting atmosphere.

So, if you're looking for authentic Mexican food cooked with love and served with a smile, look no further than El Molcajete. You won't regret it! Trust me, your taste buds (and your belly) will thank you.

P.S. Don't miss the Plato Tejano and Enchiladas De Queso - they're...

We just left this place and it was honestly the worst service I’ve had in a year. We are a family of 5 and order drinks appetizers, the whole 9 yards. Our ticket is generally 50-70$ wherever we go. We ordered two appetizers and a drink and never got one of the appetizers & a drink. So I put the drink in with someone else and reconsidered the second appetizer. Our server was rude and left our drinks sucked completely dry even though we put them on the edge of the table. He appeared to have 2 other tables. I used to serve and pay attention and bless good servers. He left our drinks dry and with dry drinks brought us cold food. My 8 year old orders meals.. not kids meals. Like we spend money and want to be served well. He brought my 8 year old a “hot plate” that was completely cool to the physical touch and didn’t have the other half of our food…… we paid 60$ to eat as a family. Not to be brought out subpar food, that doesn’t meet temp, by a rude waiter! …with nothing to drink nor the ability to get it ourselves. Terrible experience, our FIRST experience at that, and we will never be back AND...

My spouse and I came in last night for dinner and really enjoyed our meals. The restaurant is quaint and clean and the staff is kind. The menu has lots to choose from too. I had the Plato Barbacoa and he had the Tacos Dorados. The barbacoa was excellent! Packed with flavor and a good sized portion of meat. Looved the cactus and the tortillas were delicious. Spouse chose to get two chicken tacos and one beef. All were cooked to perfection. The rice and beans served with both dishes were very flavorful too. I bought some marranitos that were up at the front but upon getting home and sitting down to enjoy them I realized that the packed by date on them was almost a month ago. I took a few bites but they were past their prime so I tossed them. As a former baker I can say with certainty that the way they were packaged would only give them a true shelf life of no more than 7 days. But no matter because all in all we were very satisfied not only with the food but the staff and cleanliness of the restaurant and will definitely be coming back to try...

This place has a great feel to it and definitely reminds me of a classic mexican restaurant, that being said the food is good, the tacos were good and I do have a few concerns regarding the bacon, the bacon was pretty hard like it had been sitting out for a while, the Chile Relleno was kinda salty not disappointing but nothing too good, the bean and cheese had a lot of flavor and was awesome. They start you off with a basket of chips and they have great salsas! I recommend this place if you’re coming and interested in their plates they have a large selection and their prices are pretty ok.
