Divine Providence Catholic Church — Attraction in San Antonio

I went in to get information about a baptismal. ALL of the staff, Father included, ignored us. One lady said “1:30” implying not to bother them until then as she continued to eat. I had ONE QUESTION and they DO NOT answer the phones, I’ve called for months and left messages, so I had to drive down there.

I asked for a number to call back to get more information later and the father proceeds to say that we should be going to a church near us. I said well my husband did his RCIA here so it is special to us. He said it didn’t matter if my parents went here, we’re not in their jurisdiction while laughing.

This is exactly why people stray away from church these days. It’s such a shame. Father Ryan, the previous priest, would have never turned anyone away.

This is insane that I call and call and someone picks up and hangs up my calls when this should be a Catholic Church.

I’ve been calling yall for two months already and a lady said she will email it to me and she never did. I need that paper asap.

I love this church… The picture that is showing up on the profile is inside the smaller chapel in the McLaughlin Bldg (where the church office is located). I have attended and served at this church for my entire life other than our military moves. When my dad retired we came back. I served in the Altar Society and was also a Faith Formation instructor (CCD teacher). When my husband retired from the military, we came back. I still would love to see more...
