Well to be honest it was poorly shaded nowhere for the dog parents to sit and get any shade and neither the dogs. My dogs rolled around in dirt trying to cool off. The water fountain they had spits hot boiling hot water. We kept running it for 15min just to get it to temp where it was a least drinkable. There is a bench sitting at the front of the gates which mind you it's not shaded and the bench is metal sitting in the blazing heat. The gates to open to get into the doggy park are scorching hot and we burned out hands from the metal rods. While there is plenty of room for the dogs to run around they were so hot that they were looking for shade which was very limited. The concept of the park is nice but more shading is needed. More seating is needed. More dog activities is needed. The metal gates need...

Awesome place! Finally got a dog park in the area. The ground is covered with MULCH, not dirt. A big plus when it rains. Grateful to whoever thought of that. There are two separate parks. One for tiny dogs that would otherwise be trampled, and one for larger dogs that do the trampling. Plenty of room in both. A water fountain is provided for humans and animals and there are metal bowls free to use as well. Not much seating for us bipeds and very little objects to climb or jump on for the furry ones. But plenty of space to throw a ball or walk around in circles. Overall, very excited for a new dog park in the neighborhood. Gave it 4 stars for lack of amenities but if you have a dog and you live in the area, release the hounds for an hour or so. It's not just beneficial...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fox Park is a great spot if you enjoy being outdoors and staying active. 🚶🏾‍♀️🚴🏾 The walking trails are well-maintained, wide enough for comfort, and perfect for a relaxing stroll or a brisk jog. It’s also very bicycle-friendly, with smooth paths that make riding easy and enjoyable.

The scenery is peaceful with plenty of green space, making it feel like a nice little escape from the busy city pace. Whether you’re out for exercise, a casual bike ride, or just some fresh air, Fox Park has a really welcoming vibe.

Otherworldly piece of nature living peacefully in the middle of San Antonio suburbs. If you break away from the main paved path, there are numerous trails to explore where you might go thirty minutes without seeing people even on a busy day. The areas are well maintained and run alongside an ever changing body of water. Great for hiking, biking, or walking the dog. It’s a great place to get away from the city without leaving home.

This trailhead is conveniently located at the intersection of Hausman and JW Bacon which gives you easy access to the Hausman, Dezavala, and Babcock areas. It has water, a couple of toilets and parking is usually not full. You can also ride the multiuse path along Hausman to get to I-10 or 1604. The Hausman bridge has very cool lighting at night. 1/7/22. Construction is underway now to add a Dog Park and additional parking.
