Catalina at Dominion and the entire Onsite and Corporate Residence Property Management & their responsive and truly efficiently and overall effective Facilities Management and Groundskeeper/Maintenance Director and their entire respective and competent team - ranging from directly at the Front of House Client Leasing Agent like Mr. Aaron C.; always with an enlightened smile and aim at addressing any concern or answering any questions one may have about the property, whether it be a current or future residential family member, to the Onsite Property Management Team with Ms. Tori as the Assistant Property Director readily available at all times and efficiently addressing any concerns or questions residential clients may have or inquiring further, in an effort to fully take advantage of and receive full benefits of all of the luxury amenities offered here at Catalina at Dominion; a true safe-haven and palace one can safely and confidently call Home.

Ms. Kanesha Romero, the Onsite Property Director, has demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities when dealing with an array of residential issues, whether in regards to residential billing inquiries, to any potential safety concerns for the safeguarding and welfare maintenance of the overall entire residential community here in San Antonio, Texas or any other circumstances that may require her immediate or direct presence or approval - exceeds standards set by other leading-competitive property management agencies quickly swarming down south into the San Antonio and outer-lying counties, such as Boerne, Kerrville, San Marcos, New Braunfels, etc. by maintaining direct correspondence and an axiomatic grounded and established rapport with the Corporate Management Team - Roscoe Properties GP, LLC.

The entire Family at Catalina at Dominion ensure and effectively provide a welcoming-home environment anyone would like to elect to make their own home or invite family & friends to spend quality leisure time with special loved ones during peak-seasons throughout the year, with the ranging luxury amenities provided and offered to residential tenants and their elected guests. A truly remarkable and cohesive Catalina Family Team that distinctly sets themselves apart from the rest of the surrounding luxury-living properties built or soon to be built within the Northwest Region of San Antonio, Texas primarily regarded as The Dominion Area nearby La Cantera and The Rim - with Six Flags Fiesta Texas and the unique luxury-experience when retail shopping in San Antonio, with the Shops at La Cantera accessible nearby as well; along with The Rim and the San Antonio South Texas Medical Center & South Texas VA Health System - which provides its own Level I Trauma Center to its surrounding residential community members throughout the city.

Will sincerely miss my most warmhearted and truly unique but genuine living experience and both personal and professional growth Catalina at Dominion and all of their elite family team members provide each and every residential family on a daily basis. Kudos to Roscoe Properties GP, LLC and their executive corporate leadership for instilling and maintaining a notable and effective cohesive Team here at Catalina at Dominion.

On behalf of my Mother - Mrs. Andrea C. Marquez - and the rest of my entire Family - both military and civilian personnel - we are eternally grateful for the opportunity and tenure granted in order to take part and safely reside within an elite and leading-luxury living community within the San Antonio Region directly after my unanticipated earlier than ever-planned or thought of medical-retirement from the United States Army after a decade of serving as a Burn Flight Nursing Supervisor at the Institute of Surgical Research - U.S. Army Burn Center.

Thank you sincerely for everything Catalina at Dominion for what you all do for the entire community on a daily basis.

The exhibited and noteworthy character and overall community guidelines instilled and upheld are truly worth emulating.

Very Respectfully, Francisco A....

I AM CONSISTENTLY UPDATING THIS REVIEW EVERY FEW WEEKS. IF YOU ARE A CURRENT RESIDENT, I WOULD URGE YOU TO SPEAK UP AND WRITE A REVIEW.

The elevators in both buildings have been down since January, resulting in full utilization of the stairwells for all residents and guests. These are four story buildings, and it is non-ADA compliant to have non-operational elevators in a 4 story building, so CWS (Landlord) has been non-compliant since January.

The gates are non-operational every 2 weeks due to “vehicles hitting the gates” and vendors needing to come out to make repairs. Hm, I don’t think so. How often do resident’s ram their car into the entry gates to their neighborhood? How often do you accidentally hit your garage door to your house when pulling in the driveway? Every two weeks? You be the judge of that scapegoat.

The common area facilities are consistently closed as well. There’s typically a scapegoat for every maintenance downfall here at Marquis Dominion, whether it be a lightning strike the first week of January causing the elevators to still be out of service to this day (3/16/2024) with no estimated repair date in sight, cars hitting entry gates, parts taking months to come in for broken building doors (they slam like gun shots), and the list goes on.

This complex is absolutely NOT worth the money that they are charging in rent. There are multiple other newly developed buildings in this area that will be under the same ownership and management for the next 3-5 years until they go to sell. Go live there. Marquis Dominion will only continue to go downhill as the cost of capital improvements to the buildings and facilities alike will continue to increase as the infrastructure continues to fail. How long CWS is willing to continue eating these costs is unknown, but you don’t want to be the nobody-resident at the mercy of this $@it show.

Management team and maintenance all work for the ownership under the same company, so while they are a part of the problem, they are not the whole problem. I like them as people, but the failed buildings and facilities speak for themselves.

Hope this helps.

UPDATE: 4/11/2024 as of this date, only 2 out of 4 elevators in the community are functioning with no completion date for repairs provided for the other two elevators. Additionally, the front entry gate remains open 24/7 and the fitness center and bathrooms have all been closed due to a leak in the women’s restroom in building 1. All entry doors to building 2 continue to slam extremely hard, but the stairwell tread has been replaced finally - let’s see how long these last. ALSO, all residents received an email from property management last week demanding that the payment of rent must be submitted by the 3rd of every month otherwise late fees will incur. 2 broken elevators, broken entry doors, broken gates, and closed facilities, but they send threatening emails out to all residents to remind them when to pay rent.

UPDATE 4/20/24:

A car was stolen from the parking lot last night as all of the residents got an email about this. The gym is still closed indefinitely due to the burst water pipe in building one and the gates continue to be intermittently wide open.

UPDATE 5/1/24:

Elevators have been restored, for now. However, the trash compactor is now broken and “needs a part”, so a large dumpster will now be moved to the middle of the neighborhood and take up parking spaces while we wait weeks for a part to arrive. Of course, we are still on the hook for paying the valet trash fee that is periodically cancelled due to the...

The staff are super friendly, responsive and overall amazing people. From front office workers to maintenance, everyone was kind and very professional which I appreciated. However, there were times right before my move out where I would get differing answers from the same staff that had helped me before which was frustrating since I wasn’t really sure what was the true answer to my questions.

Maintenance orders that I placed were always answered within the next couple of days and I never had any issues getting anything repaired.

As others have mentioned, the elevator was out of service for a long period of my stay there as well as the entry gates. The only functioning gate was in the back, so all the others would always be open. This leads me into what I feel was my bigger issue while renting here. My old roommate and I had a doorbell camera set up and one night there were two strange men who approached the apartment door multiple times in a way where you knew they were scoping out the apartment. This happened super late, around 4am so it was truly a terrifying moment seeing these two men approach the door the way they did and be unsure of what their next move was. They eventually left and we reported this to the front office and included video footage of the men. We wanted to know if by chance they were late staff workers so that we knew it was all okay. Neither I nor my roommate ever heard back from management about this, even after we called and emailed multiple times for an update. It was a very daunting situation where my roommate and I felt like we had to take precautionary measures so we set up another camera that was eventually asked to be taken down since it was using hallway electricity and not our personal electricity. Asking us to take down the camera was completely understandable because it was in fact not using our apartment outlets, however it was frustrating because the reason they were set up was due to a lack of response from management regarding our safety concerns from that night. I am still not sure who these men are, but all I know is that we did not have fobs or something of the sort to let you into individual buildings or hallways, so the only barrier to our apartment building were the gates that never closed.

Another issue we had while living here was that our upstairs neighbors were extremely loud. I understand that people deserve to live their lives in the home they pay for, but this was heavy and consistent loud stomping(think stomping around in steel toed boots) that would start around 6/7am and sometimes went on until 3/4am. It was so loud, to the point that the heavy stomping would shake our bedroom and bathroom doors. Even after reporting this and sending video evidence to management, we didn’t received any communication back about the issue and the noise never diminished.

Overall, this was not a horrible renting experience because I have definitely had and heard worse but there is a concern of security when living here and a lack of communication from management regarding...

Stay away from this place! Back in May 2022, my wife and I were moving from Houston to San Antonio and checked this place out with our then 3-month-old son. The sample unit that we were shown did look decent and we were told that the unit that they have available for us would have the same cleanliness and quality, but they can't show it to us due to the fact that there is someone living there who will be moving out before we move in. Since we were in a hurry to move and didn't have that much time to spare (due to my work moving me from place to place for each project), we signed a 13-month lease. However, upon moving in, we discovered magnitudes of issues with the place (I have attached multiple photos with this review which don't even scratch the surface). Basically, the apartment was dirty, covered in hair, gunk on the floor, rust, stains and dirt in the bathrooms, the entire place was dusty and had many other issues. The parking around our building was atrocious and inadequate so we had to park way too far away from our building. The A/C units outside our master bedroom made an insane amount of noise and made it impossible to sleep properly at night. There was construction going on behind our building with a lot of noise and dust and mess. They had let us move into the unit and occupy it while there was a fire hazard present (there was an enormous amount of lint buildup behind the washer and dryer unit - photos attached to this review for you to see the truth). All this and they knew we had a 3-month-old baby with us too. When we complained, they didn't care at all. They refused to give us a refund, they refused to give us any financial compensation, they refused to cover our moving costs. They only offered us another unit in the same building, but we had to pay our movers again to move to another unit. The management of this apartment complex is very incompetent and extremely inhumane. The person that showed us the clean apartment and lied to us didn't seem to care, and his boss who is the director of the place couldn’t care less about our concerns either. We even called her boss who is the regional director for CWS and she was the most heartless person I had ever spoken to who cared even less. Our advice to you is save your money and go someplace else. Their prices are just too high for even a proper and clean apartment let alone the dirty one we got. Good luck!

This is how we got the apartment the first day we moved in with a 3 month old baby. It was just disgusting. Hair were painted on the wall, behind the dryer was full of dust, the floor was disgusting, and so on. After complaining the management sent the cleaning crew but they basically did nothing. I had already cleaned the floor and dusted the entire apartment because it was not safe place to stay with the baby. We eventually broke our contract and left within a month.
