Heaven on earth, what an amazing place to visit. We were impressed with this family friendly location, it is a safe place with no threatening types of people around. A large parking lot with easy payment options is within walking distance to the pier. Not a bit of garbage anywhere !! The beach is beautiful, deep sand , lots of places to lay the blanket and enjoy the extraordinary view. It is very well maintained, lifeguards patrolled the area, surfers and swimmers were having a blast although the water was Cold! The Pier is wide with lots of benches , we fished a few times and the locals enjoy chatting about their fishing experiences. We were impressed with the well maintained bathrooms with hot running water right on the Pier. One public restroom closer to thr Beach was destroyed by fire and has yet to be rebuilt but there were several porta potties and hand washing stations for those not willing to walk out to the Pier for the larger bathrooms. People were very respectful, putting garbage in the cans and keeping their area clean. Great place for families . Walking trails go up and down the beach area , just keep an eye out for bikers, it was fun to see kids coming to the beach on e bikes with surf boards attached to them ! If you like watching birds , we saw a remarkable number of species at the beach and on the hiking trails . We even watched dolphins several times from the Pier. What a glorious place , I hope to be...

My family and I absolutely love heading down to San Clemente Pier! We make it a fun day trip by taking the train from Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo – the 20-minute ride with ocean views is so relaxing. Once we're there, we love strolling along the pier. It's the perfect place to unwind.
We usually grab lunch at Fisherman's – their patio is amazing! Afterwards, we can’t resist a dip in the ocean. It's definitely chilly at first, but you get used to it.
