I called for dropped off boxes of cleaned great clothes, the person whom answered the phone told me that is opened 7 days in a week(7:00am til 11:00am). So the next day, I happened to dropped off some clothes, the trucks worker told me that there closed. Opened at 8:00am. I told them but the lady told me over the phone that you are opened at 7:00am. Which I got there at 7:33am. I had to drove back home, & returned back at 8:00am for them to accept what I was dropping off. They were very rude manner towards accepting any cleaned cloths/merchandise. they were not accepting any cleaned furniture as well. But I walked in the store & they had a few furniture outside the entrance door. 😳😲😠as I found something to buy. This amvets thrift store does not give any credit for seniors citizens nor military discount. I have been to other thrift store's & they have discount for seniors & military people. Here, in this one is horrible! Very expensive!! no discount on whatsoever! Very bad, bad service 😡👎what kinda of charity whom will not accept cleaned, great condition of clothes & furniture for the needs. This is for all VA charity. Unless this company is wanted to make business profit for themselves. That's not right. Willing to help donate items to the VA in need and the company is getting stingy with the merchandise and making money for...
Read moreIt's sad to say this location USED to be most AMAZING go to shop in the entire san diego area for me. IT WAS ALWAYS A GEM. They prices have gone up BEYOND ridiculousness. You can buy alot of the items brand new for less. BEING TOLD THAT THE NEW LOCAL DM or what ever is the reason for this is just gross. Seeing shirts from brands marked the same as in store or a dollar less is just wrong. Dvds and blue rays doubling in price. You can see the dust collecting on things. Using marker to mark prices on things that can't wiped off. We just listened and laughed as we heard almost every customer shopping complain about pricing. These workers haven't been given raises in years. The new Boss seems to have nobody in mind but themselves and to look good to corporate. They are Following poor business decisions like Good Will of San Diego FYI San Diego AMVETS and GOODWILL prices are much higher than other areas. ITS LOCAL MANAGEMENT WHO DOES THIS PRICE GOUGING. THIS BEHAVIOR IS ALSO SUPPORTED BY THERE CORPORATE OFFICES. If your going to bs the consumers about the cost of operations. Cost of operation includes your hard working employees. GIVE them some air conditioning. If your going to price gouge at least pay your hard working loyal employees more AND PROVIDE A BETTER WORKING...
Read moreThe store has recently undergone a management change, which seems to be negatively impacting their customer service. I purchased clothing for my family, totaling $80, and specifically asked the sales associate at the checkout if I could return items that didn’t fit within 24 hours, as indicated by a sign near the counter. The associate did not correct my understanding and simply nodded, leading me to believe returns were possible within that timeframe. Unfortunately, the store lacks dressing rooms, so I had to return five items that didn’t fit. Upon my return, a different associate informed me that the 24-hour return policy only applied to electronics, contradicting what I was previously told. Despite the misunderstanding at the point of sale, the staff was unhelpful and mentioned that the new management was unable to assist. They suggested I return the following day when the senior manager would be present, but my calls went unanswered. It’s clear that the store not only lacks basic facilities like dressing rooms but also fails to address customer issues effectively. I advise against spending your time...
