Beautiful off-leash dog park in San Diego! Right in Mission Bay, this dog park has trails AND a beautiful dog beach. It’s 99% fenced in (part is open on one side of the beach) and very big. Lots of friendly dogs and owners. Jett and Sora gave it a 5 bones rating! 🦴🦴🦴🦴🦴 #rescuedogsofinstagram #dogfriendlysandiego #dogparksandiego #sandiegodogpark #fiestaislanddogpark #fiestaisland #traveltherapyadventures #travelot #travelpt #dogbeachsandiego

Where to begin…Fiesta Island! The name is. It closes from 10 pm to 4 am but between those times you can find a whole lot of fun there. Water skiing, boating, sailing, watercraft of endless kinds, party boats, floating hot tub, paddle boards, highly advanced tech applied to solo hydrofoil inflatable kite boards. These look so much like beautiful, colorful butterflies. Kiteboarding surfers… water jet packs that have people actually airborne! There are designated areas for swimming, fishing, speedboats, skiing. You name it.

There is plenty of room for parties and picnics. Even huge parties. Permits could be required depending on the event. But all kinds of things from sporting tournaments to boat racing, holiday celebrations. Just to name a few. There are plenty of fire rings for roasting things or just having a nice bonfire.

There is also a huge field for dogs. They can be doggies and run loose too

It is all dirt, sand, gravelly, rocky in places, with off-road like hazards such as uneven ground, huge holes, dips, divots and tire ruts, and even though the City attempts to keep it graded and smooth, there are those who abuse the grounds illegally 4x4 ing and illegally off-roading and just tearing stuff up generally being jerks, and consequently making things very hard for everyone else.

See, there is an ugly and dangerous element present on the island in the form of monster truck drivers maybe truck clubs(?) who have nothing better to do than run around flexing, taunting and bullying people for goodness knows what on earth for. It’s like they are territorial about parking places, certain fire rings or just plain dumb reasons. And Theo actively run around effing with people. I know this first hand because every single time that I visit this park at least 3-5 macho-bozo type, bullying, punk thugs feel that I have to be schooled, pushed around and be subjected to random acts of hostile behavior and harassment unprovoked and for no reason other than to be punished for just being.

I have had them run me off from my fire ring, or fishing spot, pull up on me in their huge vehicle s very threatening as if they are going to drive right over the top of my car, or even come flying at me in reverse like dang maniacs! Then I’ve had them jump out of their cab like a damn gorilla on steroids as if I might confront them! I’ve had them come rocketing alongside me in a dirt lot deliberately trying to kick up rocks, trash, sand, dirt and debris in attempt to damage my car or cover everything and everyone’s stuff like beach towels, sand toys, fishing tackle, and your picnic in dust and dirt , and flinging rocks and gravel all around. They care not about the kids or sand castles, your kite, personal space, nothing! It’s just very hard to understand the reason why. I don’t think they even know. It really is frightening and very very off putting. And it’s unprovoked! I am a 50 something disabled, super chill, retired woman who does nothing but sunbath, relax, fish and be chill.

But the way way way too frequent examples of all the thuggish punktard behavior is just really pathetic, dangerous, threatening, confrontational and just disgusting and messed up.

These dudes act very immature and territorial like drunken frat boys. Awful people and unfortunately this certain breed of knucklehead are prevalent! And are inevitably going to ruin stuff for everyone if they don’t stop with the flexing, macho-bozo, posturing, bullying, speeding, with their huge lifted trucks. It is this type of person specifically. Beware.

Not saying all big lifted trucks are driven by thuggish punks, but most thuggish punk out there on Fiesta island drive huge trucks!

Mainly due to safety issues and straight-out punk thuggery and bullying behavior that I have decided to warn people about this. Because I am not the only person that has had this problem. I see it all the time in endless ways directed at just...

There wasn't much to do here asides from park near the big man made ditch of water so we could all get out of the car and walk the twenty or so feet it was to reach that very same water and have A look.

I believe that I was the first to flee the boringesque feeling I felt taking me over like a tsunami right about then. I get that same feeling whenever I am watching paint dry, listening to any one of those women on The View or playing with fresh mercury for too long.

Looking out onto and possibly across very small man made bodies of water right off boring roads with thirty-five mph speed limits fall into the same category of things I can't do without a handgun and at least one bullet on hand.

That was my justification on how I was able to simply turn around and start running the other way towards the car and across the street it was parked on.

My girlfriend and her kids tried to yell at me as I escaped to come back but we're not loud enough to make me think they are going to be pissed that I didn't turn to answer their yells to me before crossing that point of no return.

I found myself climbing the roadside hill next to where we parked and standing on top of the pile of dirt I didn't let hinder my progress.

Now I was caught up in the breath department and looking the other way. Not at the water but rather a large open field full of weeds and everything else that makes fields alike not at all sought after for anybody in need of a good view to take the edge off and make the day another to be remembered.

After killing off enough time spinning around in circles snapping spheres I began the short 15ft foot hike down the hill and back in the car where they were waiting for me in ac...

I always love coming here...I don't live in town but every chance I can we bring all the fur babies here with family & friends and this time we introduced a new fur baby who absolutely had the best time experiencing swimming, different smells & just having free time. Great place for dogs to run off leash, frolic in the water, enjoy themselves... when not running in the water they can walk up top on the grassey trails. Nice to see water supplied by various folks throughout the day for the dogs. I was a little sad to see some folks not picking up their dogs business and totally ignore the "mound" by covering it up with sand. If you could bend over to cover it, you could've picked it up... what a shame that folks worked hard for a place for dogs... maybe in jeopardy... I just heard that some "bike clubs" & "paddle" clubs want the island... folks this island is for the dogs... no one wanted the island years ago, so fight for this wonderful peaceful island to remain for the dogs & their humans...... did I mention you can swim here as well and have beach fires... there are port-a-potties, parking areas, its also gated so your dog doesn't get loose onto the road and poop bags everywhere in case you forgot your bags... if you haven't taken your dogs there take a ride, let your dog loose,...
