This park has a cool "8" loop ramp at the far upper right corner where youngsters can play on their scooter or skateboard, lots of space for walking in the grass but would be difficult to bike because it doesn't have much of a paved path, definitely needs a bathroom because so many kids from the nearby Ericson Elementary play there, lots of dead grass areas being restored, no real softball/sports field, parking is only on the street and it is usually in the sun, a large sand pit and sand table along with a hand operated sand holder to move sand which my son enjoyed for hours, a see-saw for up to 4 kids, a kid's table and bench under a picture play roof, not much shade near the play structures however in the outter borders throughout the park there are several trees...

It's everything you need in a park, really, if you're not looking for anything in particular. The location isn't too far off central Mira Mesa either, but I think this works best as just a neighborhood park. No dedicated parking...

Best part of this playground is a proper sand pit with structures that allow creative sand time. Be aware though, like other kinds of sand, once your kid gets into the pit sand will go everywhere...
