Breen Park — Attraction in San Diego

Pretty much the classic archetypal park. Playground, basketball courts, grass for picnics, big enough to walk or run around, and bathrooms. It's a bit dirtier than some other parks I've been to in Mira Mesa (or it seems that way), but it has everything you really need in a park. Bring your kids since the playground is surely ample for them. Perfect for anybody who lives in the neighborhood. Not too far from Downtown Mira Mesa if you want to go on a longer walk to there, but Mira Mesa has so many nice parks that this one pales...

Pluses - Long, wide, paved trails for roller blading and such. Nice playground. Restrooms. Water fountains. On regular ice cream truck route. Huge lawn areas. Gazebo. Fenced - only one way in and out. We go there frequently. Minuses - It could use more shade and more park tables and benches. Tables do get filthy, especially after birthday parties, nobody seems to clean them. Only about 8 parking spaces inside the park, otherwise you need to park...

Overall this is a nice neighborhood park. There is a path around the whole park. There are little work out stations all around the path. There are some trees to provide shade and gazebos for events. The park is also dog friendly. There are restrooms and a small parking lot. There are different size playgrounds for different ages kids. There is also a basketball court.
