Scripps Miramar Ranch Library — Attraction in San Diego

The library is over all clean and staff is friendly. The location is nice right next to a pond.

The kids area could use some new kids puzzles though and would be nice to offer music shakers and sensory toys to the kids at the library story time. The other library’s in surrounding cities all have lakeshore good quality toys at story time and shakers etc for the babies but very disappointed this library does not offer much for the littles. The big play cube is falling apart and missing a lot of parts. Some of the funding should go towards new stuff for the children in my opinion. Kinda disappointed and expected more...

This branch, like just about all of the SDPL branches I've visited, features a knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. The ambience is comfortable with airy, light spaces. The architecture is a standout. It is evocative of the Scripps Ranch history as well as that of Spanish California. I have seen comments about the aging SFPL collection and it is true that the City has been parsimonious in its' budget allocations. This is one of my favorite libraries to visit at anytime of day. There is plenty of comfortable seating and tables for extra spaces.
