This trail and the entire Scripps area is stunning with sweeping views of the cove and some incredible restaurants. The Scripps Birch Aquarium and UCSD are nearby if you want to make your visit more of a full-day activity. Currently there is a lot of construction on UCSD's campus so I would avoid driving through if you're unfamiliar with the area as it's easy to get lost. Caroline's, a sit-down restaurant is located at the bottom of the hill, on the water and definitely worth a visit. Read moreGreat views, kids loved it. Lots of beautiful native plants to see along the hike, wonderful view of the ocean throughout the hike as well. There are a few look out spots with multiple benches along the hike. I wouldn't say the actual trail is wheelchair accessible but there are roads amongst UCSD's buildings that are accessible in order to get down to the beach. There are a few small parking lots with allotted spots for trail users and handicap parking. Not a long hike, moderate incline so keep that in mind for the hike back up if parking at the top.
