Do not use this wedding venue. I had my wedding here, and unfortunately I do not recommend using it to others. The setting and the structure are self-evidently good. The service from the staff is the problem. Keep in mind that the venue is a UCSD property, and the people coordinating events have no motivation to provide customer service. And on the day of your wedding, you do not want to have to deal with rude folks. Once your reception is started, the staff here will be focused on one thing: getting you out. If you consider this venue, you will note that they have a small approved vendor list for food, and only a single approved restaurant for serving drinks. This means your vendors will answer to the staff of the forum, and not to you, as you vendors have a "special" relationship with the forum. This dynamic is also a bummer. So in summary, do not use this wedding venue. Even though the setting is good, the staff are not. Choose a venue where the staff are nice. ...

We opted to have our ceremony and dinner right on the grass at the Forum, next to the ocean.
