It can relieve chest pain caused by CAD, slow the progression of CAD, and increase life expectancy. It aims to bypass narrowings in heart arteries by using arteries or veins harvested from other parts of the body, thus restoring adequate blood supply to the previously ischemic (deprived of blood) heart. There are two main approaches. The first uses a cardiopulmonary bypass machine, a machine which takes over the functions of the heart and lungs during surgery by circulating blood and oxygen. With the heart in arrest, harvested arteries and veins are used to connect across problematic regions—a construction known as surgical anastomosis. In the second approach, called the off-pump coronary artery bypass graft (OPCABG), these anastomoses are constructed while the heart is still beating. The anastomosis supplying the left anterior descending branch is the most significant one and usually, the left internal mammary artery is harvested for use. Other commonly employed sources are the right internal mammary artery, the radial artery, and the great saphenous vein. Effective ways to treat chest pain (specifically, angina, a common symptom of CAD) have been sought since the beginning of the 20th century. In the 1960s, CABG was introduced in its modern form and has since become the main treatment for significant CAD. Significant complications of the operation include bleeding, heart problems (heart attack, arrhythmias), stroke, infections (often pneumonia) and injury to the kidneys. #foryou #fyp #foryoupage #projectcartv

This was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I saw doctor Sean Aaron Deitch, MD in the ER. I have pelvic venous disorder that causes severe hip, sacrum and back pain to name a few, and severe sciatica. I had some severe hip pain where I could barely walk as well as some numbing in my left neck and shoulder that I went to the ER for due to a pinched nerve. The doctor gave me about 4 minutes to speak then told me I was making it all up and that I had psychological problems and needed to see a Pyschiatrist. I told him I’m not lying AND he said you walked back here didn’t you. I was in such shock that he treated me in this manner. I did not even stick up for myself. This was a complete lie, I was in a wheelchair the whole time and only walked to the bed after the nurse took me back. I have barely been to doctors my entire life except for Obgyn’s for four pregnancies. I have not even had an MD my entire adult life. I have been having ongoing pain since I had my surgery embolization to several pelvic veins because it was not successful. I was scared that a nerve could be entrapped or going bad due to my symptoms and my vascular surgeon recommendations. This doctor lied completely in my discharge notes, he claimed that I walked to the back which I did not and that I claimed that I stated that my whole body was numb- which is a complete lie, and if that were the case I would have called 911. My partner left as I was wheelchaired to the back by a nurse because I told him that I was okay to be left so he could go to work. The doctor in the ER acted like I was crazy and that I drove myself there despite the fact that they took my partners name down in the front and he stayed with me the whole time until they took me back. He also lies on the discharge stating he gave me ibuprofen and percocet. This is an outright lie, I actually am a nutritionist and have only been using homeopathy, and vitamin supplements and curcumin for inflammation, as I tried a medication once for the pain and it did not even help. I’ve heard about male doctors not believing women in pelvic pain and labeling them as hysteric but never did I ever think that would happen to me. This doctor should not even be in practice. He also lied on the discharge notes stating he checked me out everywhere on my body which he never even came near me as he was siting I’m a chair across from me. The worst part was when my partner picked me up and was so mad about what the doctor had done to me because my family has seen me go through this for a year and a half now and I had to leave my job ( whom all witnessed my pain) and even get to the point where I’m bedridden most days. I could not even get mad because when you have been in a health condition so long there is no energy for that just a longing to get your life back and be pain free. I think that doctor should not be a doctor though because you are suppose to be kind, compassionate and not ever lie on a patients visit and discharge notes. I don’t even know how he had pages to write on me from a four to five minute conversation. I feel so disheartened and was professionally mistreated. I have never had “mental problems “ as he stated and waited until my situation got so bad before I sought medical help to begin with. This doctor is the one whom needs psychiatric evaluation and help to not mentally abuse his patients and some education on women’s health. I am writing this in case he does this to a lot of other women so that they know they are not alone and say that I am sorry for their experience. When I do get the laparoscopy that I’ve been putting off ( because I m scared of another surgery/ I’ve had 4 C sections). Or the results from the Urologist or Neurologist that I have referrels for I’m going to put a photo of my diagnosis here because I was wrongly treated and I just hope I don’t get permanent life alerting damage due to not being treated when I would of went to the ER if I was not in severe pain in the first place. Please write your story if this doctor does...

I will edit this review weekly until they fix their gross negligence

6/25/2022...I feel the need to quote the Doctor on 7West making rounds the morning I was left in pain for so long..."No one wants to help you due to your attitude and type of insurance" Excuse me, "Doc", when you took your oath to get licensed did it state you get to choose who to help and who not? The medical licensing board is whom I should be communicating with.

Now, I did receive a voicemail from customer service. I am set for surgery and under proper care in others hands but thankful the call occurred.

THEN, a letter a letter was sent to me today describing in one of the paragraphs I remained in pain so long due to leaving after so many hours of no response. FYI, There was no pharmacy medication given for extended...wait...rediculous amount of time. Read above Doctor's quote as to the why. Certainly sending a letter without facts about what was witnessed by more than me is quite inappropriate. However, you did seem genuine with concern...but your information you have been given is inaccurate.

Why dont you reach out to your employee, my soul mate, who convinced me to go to Scripps that witnessed it all? She wrote a letter all the way to top management due to being horrified/embarrassed by the treatment given.

For now, let me heal in the care of professionals, Scripps. Your antagonistic behavior will always remain in my memory of my stay there. No call back necessary from me. The additional stress placed by your facility does not help me heal. You continue to "Wow" me. Now my request is to leave me alone. It appears your worth just keeps diminishing.

Patients...no joke...beware.

NEW UPDATE: 6/16/2022...I read the response below from Scripps and reached out right after initial review...its 2 weeks later...No one has cared enough to reach out to me from Scripps. Why ask me to contact you?? Maybe you believe it gives the appearance you care to all those that read my review. Truly your actions or lack there of is saddening. Saddening enough that my wife reached out to the CEO of your company. She is a dedicated employee that works for you as a CNA at that hospital, Scripps, and she was there to watch this all first hand. I hope your CEO cares more than floor 7 West, your emergency room, and apparently who gave the "for image" response below. FYI, Scripps...here is some damage caused that i didnt have before my experience at your hospital 2 weeks ago..where they injected me has increased in pain exponentially and includes now mobility issues from the area damaged during my visit. Future Scripps clients...please hear what can happen when you trust Scripps staff. With love I recommend you seek professionals of another hospital. It would break my heart to see others damaged in the future by me not delivering this updated message. I wish you the best and please seek help elsewhere where your odds will be more favorable. God Bless.

Original Review I sent:

Went to ER 6/4/2022 for shortness of breath and a reaction to a new medication causing major issues with massive back pain. I was admitted and ended up having a 2 day stay. During the stay so many mistakes were made.

Dr. Kassendorf, upon further research i never should have apologized. Thank you for telling me I was being told untruths by nursing staff. The nurses "frantically calling you" turned out to be false. 7 hour response times leaves your patient being tortured. Sad to know they didn't even try to contact you for my dilemma of having a reaction to prescribed meds. They lied to me and told me they were trying to get ahold of you. They left me writhing in pain for what? Simple answer...they pick and choose to help. Each minute of that 7 hours I will remember unfortunately for the rest of my life. Completely raw when I had major spine issues that was observed by your own MRI at Scripps with masses growing off my spinal chord. Help your patients better. Shame on you Scripps staff. The memory you leave me is best stated...

Here on business and unfortunately my Cystinuria flared up. I have a rare genetic disorder characterized by the buildup of the amino acid cystine, a building block of most proteins, in the kidneys and bladder. Normal kidneys filter blood to create urine, cystine is normally absorbed back into the bloodstream. People with cystinuria cannot properly reabsorb cystine into their bloodstream, so the amino acid accumulates in their urine creates cystine stones. It is super rare and has caused me over 150 kidney stones since childhood. Multiple surgical procedures and stents.

First I would like to say the place is very clean, having been to many ER’s, luckily only a few ICU’s but I can say this facility is modern comfortable and every machine is new; even the blood pressure cuffs are nice. Sorry I nerd out on this stuff. Sometimes I wonder in some healthcare settings why the people chose to go into healthcare. Dr. Deitch was efficient, friendly, and I could tell from listening and watching he would be great to work with.

This hospital I would trust with serious issues. The doctor is exactly the type I like; An alpha male but nice and polite at same time. He seems in control and knowledgeable. I like and have had great care from all types of doctors and NP’s women and men both great but you can tell this doctor is meant to work in the high paced fast environment he is in. PA’s are a different story have had bad experiences with them so happy I was seen by a doctor. My nurse is from the south and was very serious attentive and nice. To me one of the ways to easily judge if a nurse is nurturing or caring is if they offer a blanket. It is a simple quick way to make someone comfortable and many nurses think they are above the basics and she wasn’t. She asked and brought me a warm nice blanket. It is a simple way to make you feel more comfortable when you are cold and in pain and with the bright lights and loud noises it makes you feel comfortable and believe it or not I would say about 50% of nurses don’t offer or bring you one.

My best friend is a nurse practitioner at an ER in Massachusetts and I hear it all!! So I understand how many annoying crazy patients there are she doesn’t tell me names or anything but boy oh boy there are some real crazy people out there and drug seekers but as a person with legitimate life long intermittent episodic painful kidney stone episodes I really appreciate when I don’t feel like I am being grilled as a drug seeker. And this place comes from a place of trust and obviously they are professionals they can tell with high blood pressure from pain and blood traces in urine and records in file I am sure from urologists and nephrologist if you are real. But I have had places that even know my urologist who still are combative and or take too long with pain relief. What I have found is if I get ahead of the pain quickly I need much less of it. My cousin is a doctor and so is her husband and My best friend’s bf is a trauma surgeon so I hear about stuff a lot and they all have researched my condition so i have a good support system but I have dealt with ER’s who treat you so poorly and just create a culture where like in school one bad apple ruins the bunch but this facility is a center of excellence and they even walked me out to my Uber. I don’t review many places because I have had this my whole life and work in healthcare sales myself as a community liaison for Medicare part C referrals so you sort of once you know a lot of nurses doctors and places you can get bitter and sum people up quickly like they do to patients but this place is not that place. So I felt moved to give a great review. Dr. Deitch and his team were the best. Wish I lived in this area I would make this healthcare system my home base. Although I like my urologist very much in Colorado the ER attaches is...
