The Loft at UCSD is a nice open venue with a variety of vantage points that one can choose from. Tucked away in the large campus of UCSD, the venue sits on a second floor of a student union building of some type. The staff are friendly, and mostly college students as well. The bar was lacking, as the three beers listed as available that my group asked for were out of stock, which was disappointing (wasn’t in the mood for an IPA). The show was incredible, as Julia Holter is one of the best indie artists out there. It could have just been the range but the speakers were cracking at some points, but it seemed to me that it was mixed well.
