Since we were up in Del Mar/ Torrey Pines area we decided to try a new to us dog park. I love that they have a large area with a mix of grass and dirt. They provide water bowls and poop waste clean up supplies throughout the park. The dogs there were friendly along with their guardians. Another perk was a large gazebo in the center with plenty of seating. Plus a well maintained bathroom right outside the park. Now she's exhausted

Nice space on a hilltop, grass/dirt. Free parking, fenced w/double gate, tables, shade trees. Water for dogs, and people's restrooms, next to children's playground, with picnic tables. Beautiful view of ocean, mountains. Overlooking Torrey Pines High School track.

Park is well maintained, hiking trail in parallel is fantastic. Challenging, not boring, great with my dog and beautiful views!

I take my dogs here often, mainly because it's close to home and many of the same dogs are there often. It's a fairly large, mostly flat dog park. It is mostly dirt, which I happen to like. But it becomes mud when it rains. There are well maintained restrooms.

The downside is parking is limited and made worse by people from the high school parking there. Parking is supposedly limited to 2 hours, but I've never seen that enforced. Also, the amenities are not kept up. The poop cans are rusted out. The scooper tools are all broken.

Overall, the park is okay. But, if I didn't live close, I would probably go to a...

Great place to take your dog. If you have a puppy I suggest bringing it midday as there will be more friendly people and more energetic dogs. The evening and morning crowd is pretty pretentious and does not like to have their dogs played with. Nothing against them it's just the way things are. Also one of the gate doors doesn't close properly, I'm going to buy a bungie cord for it or if anyone else wants to bring one from home that would help. I have a little english bully so I guess it might just be assumptions...
