5/11/25 I asked for extra salad dressing, (As Always because the one dressing is never enough so I have to find or buy more dressing at the store just to finish the dry salad!) and this time they tried to charge me $4.04!!!! Every time I asked for extra dressing they balked as if it was made of gold and I was asking for WAY too much. It’s a $20 salad with tax and tip! Wtf?!???!!! Needless to say, I will never spend one red cent here again. 3/3/25 STILL best balsamic chicken salad in SD! Forgot to take a pic before I slopped on guacamole and took a bite. Delicious Carnitas Burrito! Loaded with meat, tasty, and literally 2 meals for me. Massive amount and good quality with better prices than the guys down the street(k jr) Plus, friendly and super fast service. I’ve had the Balsamic Chicken Salad a few times and it is also DELICIOUS! The dressing is perfect! My most recent order (I work across the street) was a Carne Asada Bowl and it was perfect as well. The Mild Red Salsa is the best I’ve ever had! I need some spicy just not too much and this red is so perfect too and tasty! I love this place !

Had lunch here. We ordered the carne asada burrito and the chicken with sriracha burrito. The food was good. The salsa bar also had some good salsas. Given that prices are going up, the food was pretty expensive. Most burrito places, you could get a burrito under $10 or around that. But they were charging $14 for a much smaller burrito. And the kicker was that a small tray of chips and beans was billed at almost $10. Definitely not worth the steep price.

Had been to one of their other locations 4 years prior while visiting the San Diego area. Decided to try this one for late breakfast and early lunch. The al pastor tacos were good, nicely seasoned and not too fatty. The rolled tacos were freshly made, crunchy and topped with guacamole. Just wish there had been more meat inside. Knocked off a star for that and the missing salsa bar. I'd go back.

The food here is pretty decent, but this location is listed as "Del Mar Heights", despite being the only Porkyland in Carmel Valley. Their location listed as "Carmel Valley" is confusingly actually located in Torrey Hills (seriously, I'm not making this up! I looked up the county maps to confirm.)

I had to go home without my food the other day because of this problem after ordering food for Carmel Valley through their app, and finding out their only Carmel Valley location didn't have my food... it was definitely a bummer.

I do appreciate their patio, which is dog friendly, though.

Response to manager: Unfortunately, the Torrey Hills location is listed on both your app, and on Google Maps as "Porkyland - Carmel Valley" (still true as of 12/19/18).

Additionally, as the Wikipedia page for Carmel Valley states, and I quote "While many people in the area are now referring to the entire 92130 zip code as Carmel Valley, the actual boundaries of the community remain unchanged from the original community plan." Thus, the Torrey Hills location, which again is listed as "Porkyland - Carmel Valley" is, in fact, not in Carmel Valley.

I think it's a great policy to fulfill small orders (like mine) when confusions like this take place, however, this policy was not enforced in my case. I asked what my options were, and they told me I would need to drive to the other location. I tried calling the Torrey Hills location, and spent 10 minutes on hold before hanging up, and then driving to a...

Took my elderly Mother here to try the shrimp tacos. She is a big fan of The shrimp tacos at Rubios and I thought any place would be better than that. Unfortunately I was proven wrong. I ordered her two shrimp tacos and at first we could not find any shrimp in all that cabbage. Turns out two small shrimp were in each taco butI definitely would not call it a shrimp taco. It was 95% cabbage. I was disappointed and asked one if the workers if i could buy more shrimp. They cooked some mire shrimp quickly and did not charge me. Once we had the right amount of shrimp my Mother enjoyed the tacos. She actually liked the cabbage. In the end she said she still prefered Rubios since they give a good amount of shrimp without asking fir a special order and it comes with avacado, something she missed in the...
