The views are amazing, once you get to the top. It is not too bad of a hike getting to the top, but it is a hike. Once you get to the top, there are several different trails on which you could go, and each has a great view. There are enough benches at the top to where you could sit and relax for a bit after your hike up there. The main road to get to the top where all the beautiful trails and paths are is paved so there were some people who had strollers. Be warned that it is quite steep so not sure how the parents with strollers did coming back down. I did not see any restrooms so I am not sure what the bathroom situation is up top. The beach is a rocky beach and not much shore space to set up a blanket and hangout per se. Overall it is a great place to go. Quite a few spots that are an...

Lovely park and visitor center. The foggy beachside cliffs look ethereal. Parking is difficult. I should have researched better...I didn't realize that after waiting in a long traffic line and paying $20 to get in, you have to pay to park at the visitor center too. We were passing through at the beginning of long drive and planning to spend 30 minutes there. It took 30 minutes in gridlock just to enter and get up the hill. Pedestrians were walking in the road so we couldn't pass the bikers. Then we didn't want to pay again to park at the visitor's center and ran out of time so we left. It was a bit disappointing. I recommend planning on two parking fees, or parking at the bottom and walking up the hill. It would be a great place to spend a half day or more. Not a good place for...

Excellent place to go for an easy hike/walk towards the edge of the cliffs. Park docents were friendly and helpful. Make sure to snap a picture of the QR code on the board to get a map on your phone as a reference. The hikes are clearly marked and the views of the beach and Pacific Ocean are stunning. Stay on the trail to avoid rattlesnakes! After paying the $20 day use fee, I drove my car up to the visitor center (you can also park at the beach and walk ~0.5 miles up to the trailhead) and parked at the designated parking spots. The accessible trails are well-marked and there are lots of stairs to get to the beach edge. No shade so bring a hat, enough water, and lots...

Meeting point for family friendly several small hikes under 3 miles with well maintained trails in the Torrey Pines Reserve. Lodge has lots of medicinal plants and display of historical information. Almost all the trails start here, there are lots of stairs and loose sand on the trails. There is day parking for the vehicles with a fee, restroom is next to the entrance to the reserve as well as at the lodge. Vehicle can be parked at the entrance or at the lodge, road after lodge is closed for general drive. TIP- Park your car by the shore before entering the Reserve and start the hike(around another 1/2 to 1 mile ) to save the parking fee.

Great, albeit small, state park. If it is a busy day, you can park down at the beach level and walk up to the Torrey Pines area at the top of the hill. It is a little less than a mile and takes about 15 minutes, but is not too hard of a walk. Once you get up to the top of the hill, there is a short nature loop that takes you through the pines, has informational plaques about the local flora and fauna, and has great views of the ocean and nature. This is a very unique ecosystem and definitely worth a visit while in Southern California!
